<p>It doesnt take much for veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan to make someone happy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Most recent example is that of Ranveer Singh, who got a surprise on Monday when he received a heartfelt handwritten letter from the legenadary actor praising him on account of his pwoerful acting display in &quot;Padmaavat&quot;.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The epic movie hit theatres on January 25 and has ever since its release, earned Ranveer his fair share of accolades.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Film critics and viewers alike have enjoyed his acting on th big screen.&nbsp;</p>

Dabboo Ratnani Calendar 2018 is flooded with Bollywood stars!

<p>Bollywood turned up in full force at Umang 2018, the annual celebrations of the Mumbai Police that has actors performing for the police force and their family members each year. From Shah Rukh Khan to Deepika Padukone to Anushka Sharma, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Kangana Ranaut- some of the biggest stars were seen at the event on Saturday in Mumbai.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Maharashtra Chief Minister Devender Fadnavis was also present along with his two daughters as his wife, Amruta performed on stage. The night saw performances from many singers including Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshamiyya and Monali Thakur as well actresses like Kriti Sanon, Malaika Arora and Sophie Choudhary.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A report published in a leading publication disclosed that the actress was initially offered a role in another project but since it couldn&#39;t kickstart and she was offered R. Balki&#39;s film with Amitabh, she jumped on to this.</p>

<p>The source was quoted:&nbsp;&ldquo;Kangana had already been roped in for the Arunima Sinha (the first Indian amputee to scale Mount Everest) biopic. But the film showed no signs of kickstarting. So, when Balki offered her this project, she was keen to come on board. The film revolves around a woman who is left handicapped after a freak accident, and eventually reclaims her life. The actors are expected to sign the contracts next week and an official announcement will be made later this month.&rdquo;</p>
