The local police in the Kollam district of India’s state of Kerala were able to find the six-year-old girl, 21 hours after she was abducted by a gang of four members in a white Sedan. The girl was taken away by the group from near her home in Oyoor, Kollam.&nbsp;

The girl, who was a student of Class 1, was located by the police on Tuesday afternoon (Nov 28) at the Ashramam ground in Kollam city where the kidnappers had abandoned her. The police have not shared any information regarding the accused.&nbsp;

In the visuals aired on television channels, the child was seen being carried on a police officer’s shoulders at the Ashramam ground and later&nbsp;being fed water and biscuits. It was reported that the child was in stable condition and would go through a medical examination before she is handed over to her family.&nbsp;

It further added that the party sticks to peaceful processes and does not resort to violence in politics.&nbsp;

PTI claimed&nbsp;that even when on 3 November 2022 when an assassination attempt was carried out against Imran Khan while he was giving a speech in Wazirabad, Punjab, the party did not do anything that would have incited violence in the country.&nbsp;

He said the nuns were seized near Okigwe city on Sunday on their way to mass.

"We are on the trail of the kidnappers with a view to freeing the victims," he said.

The police did not immediately say what was the motive behind the abduction. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.

Southeast Nigeria has seen a surge in violence blamed on the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group or its armed wing ESN.

IPOB seeks separate region for ethnic Igbo people. The group has repeatedly denied responsibility for the violence in the region.

More than 100 police officers and other security personnel have been killed since the beginning of last year in targeted attacks in the region, according to local media tallies.

Prisons have also been raided with scores of inmates freed and weapons stolen.

Nigeria: Gunmen abduct Catholic nuns, motive unclear

Almost 24 hours after WION correspondent Anas Mallick was released by the Taliban in Afghanistan, the rest of his crew, hired locally and abducted along with him, were released by the militant organisation on Saturday. They were kept in detention for nearly two days and bear wounds and bruises that show both were assaulted.

The crew members—Zakariya, who is the local producer and&nbsp;Mayel Kharoti, the driver—were released by the Taliban after a 42-hour ordeal.

The pictures that have come to the fore illustrate the cruelty which they were subjected to, a clear sign that Taliban 2.0&nbsp;is no different from the previous regime of the militant group.&nbsp;

The group was detained on Thursday while taking generic visuals of Kabul. Their assignment was to cover the Taliban takeover anniversary but it also came around the time of the killing of Ayman al Zawahiri, the al Qaeda terror group chief, in a US missile strike. Anas has also reported from near the house where he was killed.

The crew have been instructed by the Taliban authorities to be present when summoned in future.

These two Afghans were hired to help Anas with the coverage.

Since their abduction, WION had made all-out efforts seeking their release, which eventually succeeded.

But it appears that the Taliban are threatened by our ground reporting in Kabul as WION's reporter was abducted while he was reporting, with all the necessary permissions.&nbsp;

On Friday, only Anas was allowed to walk free, whereas the local producer and the driver were kept in captivity by the Taliban. They had said that they will be releasing them soon. &nbsp;

"We were duly accredited, we had all the press credentials and were filming general visuals when we were intercepted, taken out of the car... dragged off the car to be very precise. Our phones were taken away.

And then we were physically assaulted. My crew was assaulted and I was assaulted as well.&nbsp;

After some while, we were shifted from the place where were intercepted to what we know is the intelligence unit of the Afghan-Taliban. We were handcuffed, blindfolded, and faced the wildest accusations and after that were questioned thoroughly on our journalistic credentials as well. Personal questions were also hurled at us."&nbsp;

Expressing his anger, Anas said that it's something you would never expect for an accredited journalist, for an international journalist for somebody who has been known to the Taliban as well.&nbsp;

He said, "We were the only Indian network in Kabul at the time of the fall of Kabul. And we were there three months post-takeover. I was literally at all the press conferences, at all the press briefings and despite all of this, it happened so it was a very bad dream."&nbsp;

An official at the U.N. office in Aden told Reuters that four of those seized were Yemeni nationals.

Five UN staff abducted in southern Yemen

Pakistan has launched a massive crackdown on Baloch people after a series of daring attacks on its border forces that killed scores of troops. Media reports say that over a dozen people have been abducted by forces in just three days from across the province. 
 
In one of the latest abductions, Pakistani security forces reportedly took away four youngsters from Panjgur and Quetta and moved them to unknown locations. The Balochistan Post says that their whereabouts are not known.

In another incident, the newspaper says that the Pakistani forces raided the house of Haji Nisar Sarparra and took away his son Haroon Waleed Sarparra.

"It is pertinent to mention that the Pakistani forces have reportedly apprehended more than ten individuals from the Sarparra family during several raids in Mastung, Nushki and Quetta. All of them remain missing to this day", reported the newspaper.

The arrested people include former soldiers, students and people who have been critical of the Pakistani government and the military. Among the people arrested includes Nazeer Rehmat, the brother of the General Secretary of Baloch Students Organization, Mama Azeem Baloch. 
 
Geopolitical analyst and Pakistan watcher Mark Kinra told India Narrative: "Pakistan Army's reaction of abducting Baloch nations was expected as a consequence of the massive attacks on the Panjgur and Noshki FC camps.

"On the other hand, the Baloch also would have anticipated and prepared themselves for these reactions considering decades of enforced disappearances. Such reactions will only seek to bolster Baloch freedom struggle".

In Khuzdar too, the forces detained Hafeez Baloch, a final-year MPhil student in the Physics Department of the Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad. 
 
Kinra adds: "These arrests will not deter Baloch nationalist organisations from carrying out attacks in various parts of Balochistan including on check posts of the Pakistani Army. Pakistan PM Imran is raising salaries of Frontier Corps and Rangers by 15 per cent, as they guard most of the border areas and are the first targets of Baloch fighters.

This increase in salaries shows that Pakistan is trying to keep up the morale of its soldiers who are otherwise being used as fodder by the establishment, considering that Pakistan is not looking for a solution to its Baloch problem".

The military has launched a massive crackdown in the aftermath of the deadly siege on the Frontier Corps (FC) headquarters in Panjgur and Noshki that reportedly killed about 190 odd troops. 
 
"There is a feeling in the military establishment that such a devastating attack on the forces could not have happened without inside knowledge. The Pakistani military feels that vital insight was leaked to the Baloch armed groups which helped them take on well-equipped and highly trained Pakistani personnel for three days in their own camp", says an expert.

Detective Sergeant Cameron Blaine was the officer who had rescued little Cleo. He said he asked her name to be very sure that it was Cleo. The police officers could be heard being trying to assure Cleo that she was now safe with them.<o:p></o:p>

She was allegedly abducted by a 36-year-old man who will now be charged in connection with her disappearance. The suspect was admitted in a hospital as he tried to harm himself in police custody but is now back at the station and is being investigated by the police department. He is expected to be produced before a magistrate later today.

"What a great day. We now have returned Cleo to her loving parents. It is a wonderful day for this little girl and her family," WA Commissioner Chris Dawson said in a separate televised press conference.<o:p></o:p>

Detective Blaine told the media that he was glad to see that Cleo behave like a normal four-year-old child would. Describing her as bubbly and laughing, he recounted that "she was eating an icy pole, she told me it was very sticky to eat, she was just delightful".<o:p></o:p>

Experts will slowly start asking questions from Cleo to get to know the whole story and motive behind this abduction. However, officers have cautioned experts to be very careful while talking to Cleo, to ensure she is not mentally harmed during this process.<o:p></o:p>

This is blamed for making&nbsp;dog&nbsp;theft more appealing to criminals, with evidence suggesting police received around 2,000 reports of canines being stolen last year.

The task force, comprising government officials as well as police, prosecutors and other law enforcement agencies, considered evidence from academics, animal welfare organisations and various experts.

In its report released Friday, it also recommended keeping reliable data on&nbsp;pet&nbsp;thefts to "build a stronger evidence base about the problem" and improving ownership records.

"Its recommendations will reassure&nbsp;pet&nbsp;owners, help the police to tackle&nbsp;pet&nbsp;theft, and deliver justice for victims," he added, vowing ministers would start implementing them.
