Aware, appearing in his maiden CWG, did well to qualify for the title decider after opening his campaign by overpowering George Ramm of England and Australia's Thomas Cichhini by technical superiority.

He subsequently took an 11-0 lead over his opponent in the Round of 16 before outclassing the quarter-final opponent with relative ease in the first round too.

Aware had a brilliant start as he bags 2 points, but the Canadian quickly counters to take 4. The Indian presently trails 4-2. Just one minute to go in Round 1.

Earlier today, BabitaPhogat opened India's wrestling account with a silver medal.
