As the investigation continues into the blast that rocked the national capital on Monday (Nov 10) evening, reports suggest that the driver of the Hyundai i20 car that exploded near Red Fort, identified as Dr Umar &nbsp;U Nabi (some reports Dr Umar Mohammad, has a terror link. At least eight people were killed while 20 others were injured in the car blast. The incident occurred on the same day authorities recovered nearly 3,000 kg of IED-making material following a multi-state raid by Jammu and Kashmir Police. The cops seized 360 kgs of inflammable material, possibly ammonium nitrate, and ammunition from Faridabad, Haryana.&nbsp;According to reports, Dr Umar had connections with the terror module in Faridabad. WION has learned that his two brothers and mother have been detained for DNA sampling. The family reportedly spoke to him last on Friday.&nbsp;“They asked us about the whereabouts of Umar. We said he is in Delhi. Then they took the three away for questioning. We last spoke to Umar last Friday...” a relative said. “I cannot believe all this. He was engaged, but he was not married yet. He had not been home for the last 2 months... He didn't have many friends. He only used to study. That is all I know…”&nbsp;Dr Umar was reportedly inside the white Hyundai i20, along with a few others, at the time of the explosion. The car had a Haryana registration number and had multiple owners.&nbsp;The first owner of the car, identified as Mohd Salman, has been detained by the police. Salman reportedly sold to vehicle to a person in Okhla, who then sold it to a resident of Ambala. The car was then sold to Dr Umar from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Home Minister Amit Shah directed law enforcement agencies on Tuesday (November 11) to track down every individual responsible for the deadly car explosion near the Red Fort, the cause of which is still unclear.

A car exploded near Delhi's iconic Red Fort on Monday evening, killing at least 8 people. Videos from the spot showed people running around charred vehicles. The explosion resulted in fire in several other vehicles Eyewitnesses reported that the intensity of the blast shattered window panes of vehicles parked some distance away. Initially, the Delhi Fire Department received a call regarding an explosion in a car near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station around 6:52 pm. Delhi Police has now filed a case under UAPA, Explosives Act sections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives in the blast and said that he has reviewed the situation with Home Minister Amit Shah and other officials. The Union Home Minister visited blast site and reviewed the situation. Teams from the Delhi Police Special Cell, Crime Branch, NIA, NSG and FSL reached the spot. The Home Minister also visited Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital and met the injured.

Apart from regional players like Mukesh Sahni’s VIP party, Paswan's uncle Pashupati Paras, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustan Awami Morcha, there's Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM - whose party won a whopping five seats in the Seemanchal region last elections.

BJP's Ashwini Kumar Choubey said the the NDA would return with a thumping majority of 180 seats. "I feel that voting is happening in favour of the NDA... We are getting more than 180 seats, which will go up to 200," was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
