Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday said that India is in the "endgame of the novel coronavirus pandemic" and to succeed at this stage politics should be kept out of the COVID-19 vaccination drive.

"We are in the end game of the COVID-19 pandemic in India" and to succeed at this stage, Harsh Vardhan said.

He said people should trust the science behind vaccines and ensure that their near and dear ones get vaccinated on time.

Speaking at the Delhi Medical Association's (DMA's) 62nd Annual Delhi State Medical Conference (MEDICON 2021) in collaboration with Dharamshila Narayana Hospital on Sunday, Vardhan said over 2 crore COVID-19 vaccine shots have been administered so far and the vaccination rate has been increased to 15 lakhs per day.

"Unlike most other countries, we have a steady supply of COVID-19 vaccines that are safe with proven immunogenicity and efficacy. Based on the initial results, these Made in India vaccines have shown some of the lowest adverse events following immunization (AEFI) anywhere in the world," he said.

Vardhan asserted that today children in the entire world need to be vaccinated against poliomyelitis only because Pakistan and Afghanistan failed to eradicate this disease from their respective countries, the statement said.

"Similarly, India cannot be safe from coronavirus and COVID19 if the rest of the world continues to be unsafe, which is why it is essential to curb COVID-19 vaccine nationalism.

"If poor and underdeveloped countries continue to harbour the novel coronavirus, we shall not be able to ensure safety for all. A fair and equitable distribution of the vaccine is the biggest need of the hour," he said.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India, has emerged as the world's pharmacy, and it supplied 5.51 crore COVID-19 vaccines to 62 different countries, he said.

"At a time of global crisis, under the leadership of Modi Ji, India has emerged as an example to the world in international cooperation," he was quoted as saying in the statement.

"It was Modi ji's insistence that COVID-19 vaccines should be provided with no strings attached, and the countries without the vaccine supply should not be taken advantage of at the time of a global humanitarian crisis," he said.

Looking at the possibility of eradication of COVID-19 in India, Vardhan said, "We are in the end game of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, and to succeed at this stage, we need to follow 3 steps: Keep politics out of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, trust the science behind COVID-19 vaccines, and ensure our near and dear ones get vaccinated on time.

The government has already involved private players in COVID-19 vaccination, and if hospitals want, they can conduct vaccination 24x7, the minister said.

"My request to everyone is that just like people embraced 'Jan Andolan for COVID-19 appropriate behaviour', they should embrace Jan Andolan for COVID-19 vaccination and get all COVID-19 vaccine shots whenever they are eligible," he said.

Delhi Medical Association (DMA) honoured Vardhan for his contribution to the medical fraternity and outstanding service and exemplary work during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

Healthcare workers (HCWs) and frontline workers, not just in this room, but across India, rose to the occasion and sacrificed not only their time with family, but also their own mental, physical and emotional health for this beloved nation, Vardhan said.

"It is important that the two sides manage disputes properly and at the same time expand and enhance cooperation to create enabling conditions for the settlement of the issue," Wang said at an online press conference in Beijing.

Wang asserted that the boundary dispute is "an issue left from history", adding that,"it is important that the two sides manage disputes properly and at the same time expand and enhance cooperation to create enabling conditions for the settlement of the issue."

"The two sides need to help each other to succeed instead of undercutting each other. We should intensify cooperation instead of harbouring suspicion at each other," China's foreign minister said.

India and China were involved a standoff along the LAC in eastern Ladakh since June after troops from both sides clashed at Galwan Valley in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed in action, China later said four of its soldiers were also killed in the clash and one was injured.

"The right and wrongs at what happened at the border area last year are clear, so are the stakes involved. We are committed to settling the boundary dispute through dialogue and consultation. At the same time we are resolved to safeguard our sovereign rights," he said.

"In the year ahead we hope India will work with China to truly deliver on the important common understanding reached by our leaders that the two countries are not threats to each other but opportunities for each other's development," Wang said.

"Both sides should consolidate existing consensus, strengthen dialogue and communication, improve the control mechanism and jointly safeguard peace in the border areas," he said.

"Together we can bring greater benefits to the 2.7 billion people in China and India, make greater contributions to the advent of the Asian century," China's foreign minister said.

India on Monday reported 18,599 new coronavirus cases, the third consecutive day the single-day tally remained over the 18,000 mark, pushing the overall total to 1,12,29,398, according to data shared by the Union Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, 97 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, which increased the death toll to 1,57,853. The last time India reported more than 18,000 single-day cases was in the latter half of January.

On Sunday, 18,711 new cases were reported, while 18,327 infections were registered a day earlier. However, the active cases are on a gradual increase, becoming a cause of worry.

In the last four days, it increased by 1.3 per cent, pushing the current rate to 1.68 per cent. The rate of active cases recorded on March 4 was 1.55 per cent. As per the Ministry`s data, there are currently 1,88,747 active cases. Besides, 14,278 patients were discharged in a day. A total 1,08,82,798 persons have been discharged so far.

The recovery rate has reduced by over 1.07 per cent in the last two days. It now stands at 96.91 against 97.98 per cent recorded on Saturday.

The drop in recovery rate and the increase in new and corresponding active cases have been attributed to various factors, including the continued spike in infections in Maharashtra and the sudden spurt in Punjab.

Over 90,000 cases are active in Maharashtra, according to the Union Health Ministry. Just within a week (February 28-March 5), the state had added 51,612 new cases.
In view of this, the Central government had rushed high level multi-disciplinary public health teams to Maharashtra and Punjab on Saturday.

Experts have expressed a number of possibilities that could be owed to the surge, ranging from the lax attitude of people towards following the Covid protocols to likeability of "mutations and new strains".

The Ministry also informed that 5,37,764 samples were tested on Sunday.

The cumulative tests done by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) so far stands at 22,19,68,271.

To date, 2,09,89,010 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the country since the mass drive began on January 16.

The third phase of vaccination began on Monday covering 27 crores of people above 60 and those above 45 years of age with comorbidities at 10,000 government and over 20,000 private vaccination centres.

India reports over 18,000 coronavirus cases for third straight day

In a positive development, more than a week after India and Pakistan agreed on "strict observance" of the 2003 ceasefire, the pact continues to be followed on the ground with no signs of violation.

Officials from the Indian sides are upbeat even as violence has reduced at the Line of control, something that comes as a major relief to civilians on both sides.

WION had travelled to the last village at LOC to see the ground situation and saw calm returning to the area. Silikot village near Uri, also known as the last village of India, saw many of the villagers being hopeful that the peace would ultimately prevail.

“We are living in peace and happiness. We want both nations to maintain a ceasefire. Our children can play without fear of bullet or shells,” said Ghulam Nabi

Another villager, Abdul Qayoom called for more facilities. He said, “Underground bunkers are being constructed here and we feel safer. We want the government to extend more facilities to us here,”

On February 25, Indian and Pakistani militaries issued a rare joint statement. The statement that was issued simultaneously said, "both sides agreed for strict observance of all agreements, understandings and cease firing along the Line of Control and all other sectors with effect from midnight 24/25 Feb 2021"

The statement came after Indian and Pakistani Director Generals of Military Operations or DGMOs achieved an understanding on the 22nd of Feb during a "hotline" talk. During the talks, both sides "reviewed" the situation along the Line of Control.

The big test for the pact will be in summer when the snow melts and passes open. Summers have traditionally seen an increase in infiltration activity and while a joint statement has been an issue, the Indian side will not let its guard down and continue counter-terror/infiltration bid.

2020 was the bloodiest year in terms of ceasefire violations, something that had majorly impacted the daily lives of civilians. The development will be beneficial for the region and the civilian population residing along the line of control and is largely seen as an attempt to bring down the violence level at the LOC.

The joint statement said," in the interest of achieving mutually beneficial and sustainable peace along the borders" the two DGsMO agreed to address "each other’s core issues and concerns which have the propensity to disturb the peace and lead to violence."

India's key concern has been the issue of terror, and this is something the officials have said that they haven't seen any visible action.

India and Pakistani ties since the 2019 Pulwama terror attack have gone in downhill. The attack that killed over 40 Indian paramilitary men was perpetrated by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed. After India removed special status for the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019, the situation had gone further downhill with people to people contact being suspended by Islamabad.

Nine women who delivered babies in a PCR van while being shifted to hospitals during the COVID-19-induced lockdown last year have been invited as guests to an event at Delhi Police headquarters on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, officials said on Sunday.

According to the police, its PCR unit shifted 997 pregnant women to various hospitals in 2020 during the lockdown and in nine such cases, deliveries took place in the PCR vans.

Besides, 21 women police officers will also be felicitated for their commendable work during the COVID-19 pandemic and other spheres, police said, adding that 15 other women, who acted as good samaritans and helped police perform various duties during the pandemic will also be honoured.

"The nine mothers who delivered babies in the PCR vans have been invited by Delhi Police Commissioner as guests to our Women's Day programme tomorrow to celebrate our association with them and the pride we got by facilitating their motherhood right in our PCR vehicles," said police official Chinmoy Biswal.

During the lockdown, when all modes of transport were suspended and ambulance service was also not available, staff of the PCR van provided invaluable service to hapless women, police said.

Citing some of the instances, the police said on the evening of March 4 last year, a PCR Mobile Patrol Van (MPVs) staff received a call that a woman named Pooja was in labour pain and needed immediate medical assistance at Panchvati near Mandi Park in Palam.

The team rushed to the spot where they found the lady in labour pain along with her three children. They called a woman who ran tea-stall nearby for assistance.

"She checked the pregnant lady and informed that the delivery was imminent as the baby was half out of the mother''s womb.

"The staff made the necessary arrangements and a girl child was born. She was named Sonia. The baby is about one-year-old and is hale and hearty," police said.

Police official Isha Pandey said, "The MPVs displayed exemplary conviction and commitment to duty by helping the women deliver their babies in PCR van though they are not trained for delivery of babies, thus taking the services of PCR to a higher level."

In another such incident on the night of May 16, the PCR van staff was rushing a pregnant lady named Kiran with the help of her husband and a family member from a slum cluster in Prem Nagar area to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, they said.

On the way, the lady suffered extreme labour pain following which the PCR van had to be stopped midway and provide necessary assistance for delivery. The woman gave birth to a girl baby and she was named Shanvi. She is about-one-year-old and is also hale and hearty, according to police.

Police official Isha Pandey said, "The MPVs displayed exemplary conviction and commitment to duty by helping the women deliver their babies in PCR van though they are not trained for delivery of babies, thus taking the services of PCR to a higher level." In another such incident on the night of May 16, the PCR van staff was rushing a pregnant lady named Kiran with the help of her husband and a family member from a slum cluster in Prem Nagar area to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, they said. On the way, the lady suffered extreme labour pain following which the PCR van had to be stopped midway and provide necessary assistance for delivery. The woman gave birth to a girl baby and she was named Shanvi. She is about-one-year-old and is also hale and hearty, according to police.

Indian Coast Guard over weekend thwarted an attempt by Sri Lankan boats to smuggle narcotic drugs worth USD 286.5 million into India from Lakshadweep. As per the coast guard, the smugglers dumped five bags of contraband weighing nearly 260 kg in water after they realised they couldn't escape from Indian Coast Guard ships and aircraft.

Based on initial investigation, the Coast guard has said that the SLFB Akarsha Duwa was at sea for over a fortnight

After the boats were intercepted at sea, the behaviour of occupants and their misleading statement gave rise to suspicion. After tactful interrogation by the Indian Coast, the occupants of the boat admitted that they had been involved in narcotics smuggling.

Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, exiled Chairman of United Kashmir People's National Party (UKPNP) on Saturday (local time) said Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit Baltistan were a part of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir but have been illegally held by Pakistan since 1947.

Speaking at a press conference at Geneva on human rights violations in Pakistan and the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir, he said UKPNP is opposed to the use of religion as a weapon and terrorism as a foreign policy tool.

He said the Article 257 constitution of Pakistan is a provision related to the state of Jammu and Kashmir, "when the people of the State of Jammu and Kashmir decide to accede to Pakistan, the relationship between Pakistan and that State shall be determined in accordance with the wishes of the people of that State."

According to a UN resolution, Pakistan is obligated to ensure life, liberty, the dignity of the people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, he said.

The people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan do not enjoy any basic political rights. The government represses political freedom, and controls the freedom of expression, Kashmiri said.

He further said that anyone, who wants to take part in public life in the country, has to sign a pledge of loyalty to Pakistan while anyone, who publicly supports or worries about Kashmir, faces persecution.

Those, who favour independence, risk being beaten and jailed. Numerous political leaders of Kashmir have been forced to live in exile and face the threat of being eliminated or languish in jail.

Talking about a prominent political leader from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Sardar Arif Shahid, who was brutally killed in Rawalpindi seven years ago, Kashmiri said that the issue was raised several times at different forums including United Nations to put pressure on Pakistan for a judicial inquiry but no action has been taken yet.

In Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, nationalist leaders and political workers and human rights activists are being booked for sedition, he added.

Speaking about the China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC), he said, the project runs through disputed territories of Gilgit Baltistan and is a cause of environmental damage - air quality, water resources, and soil erosion.

Kashmiri also said that UKPNP demands that the Pakistan government must take immediate actions against security forces and agencies, who kidnap citizens of Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir and make arrangement for the immediate release of all those, who have disappeared.

UKPNP recommends that the Jammu and Kashmir issue must be resolved through a process of dialogue and peaceful means, he further said.

The second part of the Budget session of Parliament is set to begin from Monday but its duration is likely to be curtailed as most top politicians would be busy campaigning for assembly polls taking place in March-April.

As of now, the session will conclude on April 8.

Sources said parties across the board support curtailing the session in view of polls in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry. However, an official decision is yet to be taken.

The main focus of the government in the second part of the session is to get various demands of grants for the financial year 2021-22 passed along with the Finance Bill which carries various tax proposals.

Besides these mandatory agendas, the government has listed various bills for passage in the session.

Some of the bills listed by the government include the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Amendment) Bill, National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development Bill, Electricity (Amendment) Bill, and Crypto currency and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill.

The part two of the session is taking place at a time when political parties have their focus on elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry.

Senior leaders of various parties, especially the regional ones, are likely to skip most of the House sittings to focus on campaigning.

The first part of the Budget session started on January 29 with the President's address to joint sitting of both houses of

Parliament. The address was boycotted by over 20 opposition parties, including the Congress, in support of the demand of the protesting farmers for the repeal of the three farm laws.

The Union Budget was tabled on February 1.

Thereafter, House proceedings were washed out for four consecutive days over the opposition's demand for separate discussion on farm issues. To compensate the session's lost time, the House sat till midnight for several days.

Tibet's spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Saturday got vaccinated against COVID-19. The leader received the first dose of the vaccine at a state-run hospital in Himachal Pradesh.

The 85-year-old Nobel Peace laureate, who is revered as a "living god" thanked the central and state governments for ensuring his inoculation at the Zonal Hospital in Dharamsala. After receiving the jab, the leader urged everyone who is eligible, especially "patients" to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

"This is very important so I took that and I want to share that more people should have the courage to take this injection", said.

"According to my trusted friends, including doctors, they suggest I should take this injection. In order to prevent some serious problem, this injection is very helpful and good. So those other patients should take this injection for greater benefit", he added.

The 14th Dalai lama was born in a village in the remote Amdo region of Tiber on July 6, 1935.

Tibet's government-in-exile is currently based in Dharamsala, a town in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

The leader received the dose at roughly 7.10 AM IST, and was kept under observation for about half an hour, ANI reported.

Since last year, the leader had remained in self-quarantine. The arrangments were made for the Dalai Lama to be vaccinated by the Central Tiberation Administraiton (CTA), whose officials had requested the government for the vaccine, as stated by Palden, the CTA's Health Secretary.

In signs of growing ties and shared values between India and Sweden, Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven at the virtual summit on Friday called "India and EU as democratic superpowers".

Indian PM held a virtual summit with Swedish counterpart, the 2nd such virtual summit with any Nordic country, the last being with Denmark in 2020.

Stefan Löfven said, "From our bilateral cooperation to multilateral regional affairs, India and the European union are democratic superpowers. As we join forces, to build back more inclusive societies, it is more important than ever to reaffirm our shared values and mutual commitment to democracy, rule of law, gender equality, human rights and fundamental rights"

The comments come even as European Union is keen to increase ties with New Delhi amidst an aggressive China. Interestingly the statement comes at a time when a Washington-based NGO Freedom house downgraded India has "partly free" from free, pointing out that civil rights are being eroded in the country.

During the one house long virtual summit, both leaders discussed a number of issues, from Myanmar to terrorism to Sweden’s decision to join the International Solar Alliance and reviving NSA level talks between the 2 countries.

MEA's Secretary West Vikas Swarup in response to a question from WION said, "Both leaders expressed concerns over recent developments in Myanmar. PM Modi mentioned that as a country that shares land and maritime border with Myanmar, we have the highest stake in peace and stability in that country". Adding, "as a democracy ourselves, we have remained invested in supporting the democratic transition of Myanmar for it to emerge as a democratic federal union and recent developments are of deep concern to India".

One of the key outcomes of the summit was the creation of a Sweden-India Health Hub at AIIMS-Jodhpur. New Delhi noted defense as long-standing areas of cooperation between the 2 countries, with Indian leadership being aware of Swedish interest on Gripen fighter jets being manufactured in India.

The Delhi Cabinet has given approval for the constitution of its own school education board - the Delhi Board of School Education, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal informed on Saturday.

"In today`s cabinet meet, we have given approval to the constitution of a Delhi Board of School Education. Our education system focuses on rote learning. This has to change. Our focus will no longer be on rote learning but on understanding," Kejriwal said at a press conference.

In the coming 2021-22 academic session, 20 to 25 schools will be under the new board, the Chief Minister added. "The Board will have a Governing Body, chaired by the Education Minister. It will also have an Executive Body for day-to-day functions and will be headed by a CEO. Both bodies will have experts - from professional industries, the education sector, principals of government and private schools, and bureaucrats," he added.

At present, there are about 1,000 government schools and 1,700 private schools in Delhi, nearly all of which are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).In July last year, the Delhi government had constituted two committees to prepare the scheme and framework for the formation of the state education board and curriculum reforms.

India has taken a major step towards becoming an arms exporter. India has signed a key pact with the Philippines for the sale of "defence material and equipment", which are likely to include BrahMos cruise missiles.

This is a significant development for two reasons. One the Philippines could be India’s first client for its missile system and second those Indian arms could protect the Philippines against Beijing in the South China Sea.

This region the South China Sea has become one of the biggest flashpoints, not just in Asia, but the entire world. China claims the whole of the South China Sea. Five other countries make overlapping claims-- the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam.

And that is the essence of the conflict over the South China Sea. So the Philippines is pitted against China. India is selling arms to the Philippines. That should explain the strategic significance of this deal. A country that's responding to the Chinese threat with a call for self-reliance.

India and the Philippines have signed what is called an "implementing agreement”. It dictates the terms and sets the foundation for government to government contracts. But as far as the Philippines is concerned, It wants the BrahMos Missile. The country's defence secretary Delfin Lorenzana witnessed the signing ceremony on Tuesday. In no uncertain terms he has declared and I am quoting.

"We are buying the BrahMos missiles". Now the next step for the Philippines is to discuss a deal to procure the BrahMos.

Why does Manila want this Indian missile?

The BrahMos is considered to be the fastest supersonic missile in the world. Supersonic, means faster than the speed of sound and the BrahMos is known to be a leader in that category of missiles.

Reports say it travels at three times the speed of sound. It can be fired from ships, submarines. Aircraft and ground launchers, the missile itself has a range of 290 kilometres. The Philippines wants to use the BrahMos system for coastal defence and ground attack. A clear vulnerability considering the growing Chinese aggression in the South China Sea. In January China had passed a law. It gave its coastguard powers to open fire on foreign vessels.

The Philippines filed a strong diplomatic protest over the move. Its foreign minister shot off a tweet. Calling the law "a verbal threat of war". The Philippines feel the need to step up its defences along the coast.

And India wants to help experts believe the BrahMos is will be a good fit for the Philippines.

The Philippines can launch these missiles, not just from land, but also from its ships. India has conducted several tests on the BrahMos. The missiles have been deployed in several strategic locations along the line of control with China.

Reports say they are being integrated for use on the Sukhoi fighter jets too and reason numbers three the cost. India is helping out the Philippines here too.

New Delhi had offered Manila a 100 million dollar soft loan to acquire the missiles in December. That credit line could be extended if required. So it looks like a win-win situation for the Philippines.

What about India?

New Delhi has a lot to gain if this agreement goes through. It gains a footing as a major arms exporter. The agreement in the Philippines is a step towards establishing India's credentials as a competitive exporter in the global defence market.

Already, there is a lot of global interest around the BrahMos. Beyond the Philippines, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates are said to be keen on buying the Brahmos. Reports say India has held similar conversations with Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia and South Africa as well.

The aim is to touch the target of five billion dollars worth of defence exports by 2025. And it seems like the BrahMos will be the backbone of this mission. But this deal is not just about the arms trade. India’s move to sell defence equipment to the Philippines ups the stakes against China.

Indian missiles will allow the Philippines to assert their territorial right in the South China Sea.

India-Philippines BrahMos pact: A deal that sends message to China

In a significant development for the world and the region, the first-ever summit of Quad leaders is being planned and is expected to take place very soon.

While no time schedule is known as of now, the meet, expected to be held virtually, will bring together US President Joe Biden, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and Japan's Yoshihide Suga.

Confirming plans of the meet, Australian PM Scott Morrison said, "I am looking forward to that first gathering of Quad leaders. It will be the first-ever gathering of Quad leaders. I already had bilateral discussions with Narendra Modi and Yoshihide Suga, the PM of Japan and PM of India."

"We are looking forward to those discussions and follow-up face-to-face meetings as well," he said, adding that such meets will become a "feature of the Indo-Pacific engagement". It will, however, not have a big bureaucracy, with a big secretariat, he added.

"It will be four leaders, four countries working together constructively for the peace, prosperity and stability of the Indo -Pacific".

The Australian PM also recalled how the summit was "one of the first things" he had discussed with Biden when both spoke after the US president took office.

"The Quad is very central to the United States and our thinking about the region. Looking at the Indo-Pacific also through the prism of our ASEAN partners, their vision of the Indo-Pacific," the Australian PM added.

"The president and indeed the secretary of state, have made clear that their re-engagement in multilateral organisations particularly in the Indo-Pacific is key in building stability and peace in the Indo-Pacific."

February saw the third foreign minister-level talks of the Quad grouping. The foreign ministers of Quad countries - US secretary state Antony Blinken, Japanese foreign minister Motegi Toshimitsu, Australian foreign minister Marise Payne and India's external affairs minister Dr S Jaishankar discussed key issues like COVID-19 pandemic and Myanmar.

Quad foreign ministers had met last year in Tokyo in a physical meeting. The first Quad foreign ministerial meeting took place in New York in 2019 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Quad is seen very suspiciously by China which has termed it "Asian NATO", something that has been dismissed by the grouping.

The dialogue was first initiated in 2007 by the then Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe but lost support, only to re-emerge in 2017 when leaders of the grouping met.

Last year saw Australia being invited to Malabar exercises which saw all four Quad countries coming under one umbrella for naval exercises in the Indian Ocean.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Quad plus meetings took place at the foreign secretary-level to exchange best practices.
