Volvo launched the much-awaited XC60 premium in India Tuesday.
The vehicle, which people are calling the "safest SUV ever built", is priced at Rs 55.90 lakh.
This is a second-generation XC60 and replaces the older version.
The previous version went on sale in India in 2011.
The XC60 will compete with the Audi Q5, the BMW X3, the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Jaguar F-Pace, and the upcoming Lexus NX300h.
The XC60 sticks with Volvo's (or Scandinavia's) minimalistic design, and is an urban-friendly rather than anoverly-large SUV.
The XC60 is powered by 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. (Twitter)
