Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary Ram Madhav said Sunday that the BJP would work to bring peace and development to the state -- but that there would be no forgiveness of terrorism or of support for it.
He added that the people of Kashmir were rich in culture and heritage, but that some were being misled by elements with vested interests.
And that most people in the region wanted peace, prosperity, and development.
"People supporting terrorism will not be forgiven; they will be dealt according to law. But most of the people in this region want peace, prosperity, and development", Madhav said.
"Our government will work to provide peace and development in the state", he added.
Madhav was in Srinagar to attend the working committee meeting of the BJP's state unit.
