
Exciting news for Dune fans, especially those in India! The highly-awaited show Dune: Prophecy is set to release in November. For those wondering where to watch the show and see Indian actress Tabu in it, the wait is finally over!
The six-episode show will be released in India on November 18 on JioCinema.
Sharing an intriguing new trailerof the series, they wrote in the caption, ''The prophecy begins. The new HBO Original Series #DuneProphecy, streaming November 18 onwards, every Monday along with the U.S., exclusively on JioCinema Premium.''
The new episodes will be released on Monday every week at 6:30 am (IST). Apart from English, the show will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.
Indian actress Tabu will be playing the role of Sister Francesca in the show.
Developed by Diane Ademu-John and Alison Schapke, the show will take the audience thousands of years back from Paul Atreides' Dune world and will revolve around two Harkonnen sisters.
The official synopsis of the movie reads, "10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune Prophecyfollows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.''
The series is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson and focuses on Bene Gesserit. So, the show is a prequel series to Denis Villeneuve's blockbuster Dunefranchise, which is based on Frank Herbert's 1965 sci-fi novel of the same title.
In the show, Emily Watson plays the lead role of Valya Harkonnen. Apart from her, the much-awaited web show also stars Olivia Williams, Johdi May, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Mark Strong, Chloe Lea, Josh Heuston, Jade Anouka, Edward Davis, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Chris Mason.
The show will be released on HBO Max worldwide.
