KTM 250 Duke gets major upgrades
European motorcycle brand KTM has upgraded its much sought after 250cc motorcycle, the KTM 250 Duke, for the Indian market. The aggressive styling and performance of the 250 Duke is now supported by an improved LED headlamp, new 5-inch color TFT display and multiple riding modes integrated to make the bike more rider-oriented and more effective.
New LED Headlamp and TFT Display
The standout change is a crisp looking powerful LED headlamp, complete with integrated pilot lights, which sitting on the 250 Duke, makes the bike look much sharper and more aggressive, like one of its bigger KTM brothers. Not only does this headlamp improve night visibility, it helps make driving safer, in fog or heavy traffic for example.
The other key feature of the Gen 4 KTM 250 Duke is the 5-inch color TFT display, which has been borrowed from the Gen 3 KTM 390 Duke. The new switch cube with four-way menu switches, and all of this information, shows up on this display for easy interaction, all at a glance. Smartphone users can connect to the TFT screen via Bluetooth and use it to manage calls, listen to music and follow turn-by-turn navigation on the KTM My Ride app.
Ride Modes and Quickshifter+
In a significant performance upgrade, the KTM 250 Duke now offers two ride modes: Street and Track. In particular, the Track mode shows itself to be a perk for performance enthusiasts, changing the display to a high rev counter race focused interface, including a lap timer and gear indicators. Attached to the bike are further pieces which include a pair of clutch-free upshift and downshift bi-directional Quickshifter+, too.
