Yamaha Motor India recently launched the 2024 MotoGP Edition models of the SuperSport R15M and the hyper-naked MT-15 Version 2.0. The new offerings will be available exclusively at Yamaha's Blue Square Showrooms across the country.
While distinctly appearing as original machines, these bikes boast MotoGP racing inspired designs on the tank covers, fuel tank, and side fairings. Both models are equipped with a 155cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum torque of 14.2 Nm and maximum power of 13.5 kW, thus having sufficient power on the road.
In terms of design, the R15M aims at superior track results making it ideal for riders that seek thrill from motorcycling. It offers dynamism and adjustability, for those who seek a more urban-oriented ride. Again, both motorcycles use Yamaha’s engineering to deliver a strong ride, though oriented differently.
Some of the features of these motorcycles include Traction Control System, Assist and Slipper Clutch and Variable Valve Actuation, making the bikes more enjoyable to ride. This is in addition to the Quick Shifter feature, a fully digital color TFT display, turn by turn navigation, music control, enhanced switches, and an LED license plate light.
The launch of the new 2024 Yamaha MotoGP Edition machines is targeting the youths and lovers of exclusive and racing-oriented superbikes that are topped by class-leading performance. Prices have been fixed at INR 1,98,800 for R15M and INR 1,73,400 for MT-15 Version 2.0 (Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
While Yamaha is still expanding its share in the Indian market primarily as a performance motorcycle company, these limited edition versions may appeal well to the riders who would like to own machines that embody both responsiveness and racing pedigree.
