Reportedly, Walter Glenn Primrose, a defence contractor and his wife Gwynn Darle Morrison lived under false identities for decades, stolen from dead babies.</p>

<p>The prosecutors investigating the case remarked that the couple was born in 1955 in Texas and attended high school together. Moreover, they went to the same university and later got married in 1980.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, for reasons still unknown, the couple, in 1987, assumed the identities of Bobby Fort and Julie Montague, two babies who had died years ago and were buried in the cemeteries nearby.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prosecutors revealed in their indictment that Glenn Primrose has been issued a total of five US passports under the identity of Bobby Fort while his wife, Gwynn Morrison had three US passports in her name under the alias of Julie Montague, the dead baby.</p>

<p>A clinical research presented at the 24th International AIDS conference in Montreal, Canada, has claimed that an antibiotic named doxycycline, taken after unprotected sex can drastically reduce the risk of three bacterial Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) viz. syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia among&nbsp;high-risk groups.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reportedly, doxycycline reduced the chance of contracting STDs such as gonorrhoea and chlamydia among&nbsp;men indulging in sex with men by more than 60 per cent. The antibiotic appeared successful against Syphilis as well but not enough cases were present to produce a conclusive result.</p>

<p>The study was carried out on 500 people, mostly homosexual men as well as transgender women and other people from diverse gender groups. To qualify, participants had to have had gonorrhea, chlamydia or syphilis, in the previous year. Meanwhile, some people in the group were on HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) pills&nbsp;while others were living with HIV.</p>

<p>Two-thirds received 200 mg pills of the doxycycline antibiotic while the rest did not. Participants were encouraged to take as many pills as needed, depending on how much sexual activity they were undertaking.</p>

<p>In the end, it was revealed that taking the antibiotic reduced the incidence of STDs by 62 per cent in the group living with HIV, and 66 per cent in the group on HIV PrEP.</p>

<p>It is pertinent to note that a similar study was halted back in 2017 after the ethical and moral conundrums surrounding the consumption of antibiotics after unprotected sex came to the fore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reportedly, Dr Jean-Michel Molina, head of infectious diseases at Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris, who was the lead author of the study at the time published in Lancet Infectious Diseases, stated that he will never support the long-term use of antibiotics to prevent STDs</p>

<p>“I don’t want this strategy to be used widely in any person. But if you can select a group with a high incidence rate of syphilis or chlamydia, and you want to try to reduce the rate of syphilis quite quickly in this group of people, you may think that this strategy could be used for a couple of months,” Molina said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, researchers in Montreal are taking a positive stride with a touch of caution and looking to roll out the antibiotic with proper guidelines. Researchers have&nbsp;stated that more studies were required to gauge the potential impact of antibiotic resistance,&nbsp;a point previously raised by Dr Jean-Michel Molina.</p>

<p>The INC leader allegedly called Murmu a ‘Rashtrapatni’, inviting the wrath of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It is pertinent to note that a President is called ‘Rashtrapati’ in Hindi which is a gender-neutral term. Anyone taking the office, whether a man, woman or any other person is referred to as the same.</p>

<p>The Constitution makes no difference in the gender of the occupant of the position either. However, Choudhary allegedly changed the last part of the word ‘pati’ meaning husband, to ‘patni’, meaning wife.</p>

<p><strong>Ruling party corners&nbsp;Chowdhury and INC</strong></p>

<p>As soon as the lower house of the parliament met on Thursday (July 28), senior BJP leader Smriti Irani raised the issue and cornered INC.</p>

<p>“A tribal woman from a poor family who created history is being continuously demeaned by the Congress,” she told the reporters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Irani further claimed that it was INC President Sonia Gandhi who&nbsp;sanctioned Chowdhury’s remark and that both should issue an apology for disrespecting the entire tribal community, women, the poor and the downtrodden.</p>

<p>“Sonia Gandhi sanctioned the humiliation of a woman at the highest constitutional office in the country,” said Irani.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Irani was backed up by her colleague and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who stated, “I demand an apology from the President of Congress party who herself is a woman but has allowed her leader to speak like that. Sonia Gandhi should come before the nation and apologise for insulting the President.”&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Chowdhury issues a clarification</strong></p>

<p>Soon, a clamour ensued and the house was adjourned for a brief period. After the controversy snowballed, Chowdhury took to Twitter to issue a clarification.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The INC leader tweeted a video where he could be heard saying, “Whoever is the President of India, be it Brahmin, or Adivasi, the President is the President for us. Our respect is for the post.”</p>

<p>He further added, “Yesterday when we were protesting at Vijay Chowk, reporters asked us where we wanted to go. I told them I want to visit the President’s house. Just once, I said “Rashtrapatni”...The reporter repeated it to me and I said I might have said that by mistake and it would be better if they didn’t broadcast it. They (BJP) are creating a furore because of this. I made a mistake, just once and in one word.”</p>
