US President Donald Trump has said the war with Iran could end soon, claiming there is “practically nothing left” for the United States to target after days of intense strikes. In a phone interview with Axios, Trump said the conflict could stop “any time I want it to end,” suggesting US and allied attacks have already inflicted major damage on Iranian military infrastructure.
The remarks come amid ongoing US-Israel strikes across Iran and rising tensions in the region, including threats to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. While Trump indicated the campaign is ahead of schedule, military operations in the region are continuing.
