Spain’s government has reaffirmed its opposition to involvement in the U.S.–Iran war, with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez repeating the phrase “no to the war” in a televised address and in statements to media, despite pressure from the White House and threats of trade repercussions. Madrid has denied claims that it agreed to cooperate with U.S. military operations and reiterated that its military bases will not be used for strikes against Iran, insisting this stance has not changed.
