US-Iran War: Iran Allows India-Bound LPG Tankers Through Strait Of Hormuz Amid Regional Tensions

Iran has allowed two LPG tankers bound for India to transit the strategic Strait of Hormuz, according to reports. One of the vessels has already crossed the vital shipping route while another is expected to follow.
The move comes amid heightened tensions in the region that have disrupted maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints. The development could help ease concerns over energy supplies to India, which relies heavily on LPG imports from the Middle East.
The Strait of Hormuz handles a significant share of global oil and gas shipments and disruptions there have raised fears about energy security and global supply chains.
