Iran has accused the United States of using military bases in Gulf countries to launch strikes on Iranian territory amid the ongoing war in the region. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Washington was operating from bases across the Gulf as part of the military campaign against Iran.
Tehran has warned Gulf states that allowing the United States to use their territory or airspace for attacks could make them targets in the conflict. Iranian officials say their retaliatory actions are aimed at U.S. interests in the region rather than neighbouring countries.
The accusations come as the war between Iran, the United States and Israel continues to escalate across the Middle East, with strikes reported on military facilities and bases across the region.
