To strengthen his ailing conservative party before the election, Jeremy Hunt must provide eye-catching tax cuts in his yearly budget next week. That even as the UK public finances are fragile. A Bloomberg report quoting sources showed that on March 6, the chancellor of the exchequer will announce personal tax cuts of at least 1 percentage point off either the basic rate of income tax or national insurance.
