Typhoon Maysak: Highest flood alert issued after reservoir collapse in China
China is facing one of its worst flood disasters this year. After days of torrential rain, a reservoir wall collapsed, sending massive floodwaters sweeping from Guangxi all the way to Gansu. Typhoon Maysak made things worse, overwhelming rivers and dams across the country. Authorities have now issued the highest flood alert as entire communities are cut off, homes are submerged, and rescue teams race against time.
