Tropical Storm Maria hits Japan with record rain, transport disrupted

Storm Maria hit the Northern region of Japan on Monday. It has now turned into a tropical depression. The slow-moving storm dumped intense rains in some areas, disturbing transportation and forcing residents to take shelter.
