Top European Union officials meet with Xi in EU-China summit

Prior to their visit, visiting leaders Josep Borrell, the top EU diplomat, Charles Michel, the president of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, indicated that they were prepared to press Xi and Premier Li Qiang on a number of economic issues. The EU's most significant trading partner is China.
