Thailand has implemented stricter alcohol regulations, imposing fines on consumers drinking during restricted hours or in prohibited locations, effective November 8. The updated Alcoholic Beverage Control Act expands enforcement to include buyers, with potential fines of 10,000 baht. New advertising rules also ban celebrity endorsements, raising concerns for the restaurant industry and foreign tourists.
