Sudan Civil War Triggers World’s Largest Displacement Crisis | Over 14 Million Forced to Flee

Sudan’s ongoing civil war has escalated into the world’s largest displacement and humanitarian crisis. Since fighting began in April 2023, more than 14 million people have been forced from their homes, including around 9 million internally displaced persons and over 4 million refugees who have crossed into neighboring countries such as Chad, South Sudan, and Egypt. Casualty estimates remain uncertain due to the intensity of the conflict, with figures ranging from tens of thousands to potentially hundreds of thousands killed. The crisis continues to deepen as humanitarian access remains severely limited.
