Shinde Sena corporator sent to 3-day custody
A Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) corporator, Ramesh Mhatre, has been remanded to police custody until July 13, 2026, following a violent assault on medical staff at Shastri Nagar Hospital in Dombivli, Thane. The incident, which was captured on viral CCTV footage, shows Mhatre and his associates attacking doctors after being advised to transfer a newborn patient due to a full NICU.
