Ukraine has launched a major military overhaul to address its critical manpower shortage by aggressively expanding foreign recruitment and significantly increasing military pay. The government aims to fill up to 30% to 50% of its frontline assault and infantry positions with foreign nationals to relieve exhausted, long-serving Ukrainian troops.
