Officials, Taliban strike ceasefire deal in western Afghan province
Government officials in a western Afghan province said that they had negotiated "an indefinite ceasefire" with the Taliban to prevent further attacks on the capital of the province. A spokesman for the Taliban however denied any ceasefire agreement and said that they have left the city to avoid civilian casualties.
