New Caledonia protest: France sends troop to diffuse unrest

French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal signed a decree on Wednesday (May 15) declaring a state of emergency in New Caledonia as violence erupted there over electoral reforms, resulting in the deaths of three indigenous Kanak youths and a Police official.
