IT Minister Vaishnaw: Visakhapatnam to Become AI-Patnam
Google is set to invest a massive $15 billion in Andhra Pradesh as the state pushes to transform Visakhapatnam into a major artificial intelligence hub. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said Vizag is on track to become “AI-Patnam,” with plans to build a strong AI ecosystem involving infrastructure, innovation, startups, and advanced technology development. The move is expected to boost jobs, attract global tech investment, and strengthen India’s AI ambitions.
