India plans extension of Ranbir Canal on Chenab to boost water use after Indus Treaty suspension

After suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, India is also planning to choke the flow of water from the Indus basin to Pakistan. New Delhi is reportedly considering to double the length of the Ranbir Canal on river Chenab from 60 km to 120 kilometers.
