India: Chief of Army staff visits North East state of Manipur

The head of the Army's Eastern Command, visited Manipur on Sunday to assess the security situation in the state. Security has also been stepped up in the area following the violence that broke out on May 3rd, and the general met with the governor of the state to discuss recent violent clashes in the area.
