'Hanuman Ansh': Another independent film wins hearts

It's one of the most remarkable box office turnarounds in Indian cinema. "Hanuman Ansh," made on a shoestring ₹2 crore budget, opened to just ₹90 lakh in its first week across 250 theatres — barely a blip against bigger releases. But word of mouth turned it into a phenomenon: by Day 31 it had crossed ₹144 crore worldwide gross, driven by a jaw-dropping ₹61 crore jump in its fourth week alone.
