First case of Omicron detected in Beijing ahead of Winter Olympics
With barely three weeks to go for the Beijing Olympics, the Chinese capital has detected its first case of omicron variant. China is already plagued by multiple covid-19 outbreaks and authorities are testing the other occupants of the patient's residential compound and office building. Access has been restricted to 17 locations linked to infected person.
