Egypt Presidential Election 2023: Egypt's Sisi sweeps to third term as president with 89.6% of vote

The electoral commission has declared that President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt has won 89.6% of the vote to secure a third six-year term. Three obscure contenders were defeated by the former army chief, with the runner-up receiving just 4.5% of the vote.
