The phenomena of climate change and global warming took centre stage in South Asia too in 2023, perhaps like never before. Torrential unseasonal rains, floods, weather extremes, melting Himalayan ice, and more put the focus on the region being a major victim of climate change as well as the need for joint efforts from countries in South Asia to take on the problem.
