Chinese online fraud: Over 66,800 Indians duped; $6.2 million scammed

And nine people have been sentenced to prison in China for their roles in a telecom fraud ring that duped over 66,000 Indians. The scammers used fake investment platforms and identities to target the victims. In just over 7 months, more than 66,800 Indians were duped with losses totaling 517 million rupees, which is equivalent to 6.2 million US dollars.
