<p>A UK man reportedly died after chopping off his penis as ‘he no longer needed it,’ according to an inquest heard on Friday (Jan 19). The 63-year-old man, identified as Reginald Alan Roach, had a history of mental illness. The incident took place on November 6, 2022 as&nbsp;the man was discovered lying in a field in Bangor, North Wales by a retired nurse Margaret Webster.</p>

<p>According to UK media, Roach was “groaning” as Webster found him and she could not feel a pulse. "I lifted his jogging bottoms and could see blood covering his groin area," she said during the inquest.</p>

<p>She started CPR and called 999. The paramedics arrived soon, along with police, who revealed that the man’s genitals had been cut off.&nbsp;</p>

He then explained that on one occasion while pointing to his crotch, Roach had said: "I'm old now. I have no use for these. You can take them if you want." Murphy thought Roach was just making casual remarks and was kidding.</p>

<p>Kate Robertson, the senior coroner for northwest Wales, said she was recording a conclusion of suicide in the case as Roach’s actions only had consequences for himself.</p>

<p>Seaman also revealed that all those buried in crouched positions were females. “It may or may not be significant that thus far all of our crouched burials are female. We’re dealing with small samples so far. What we’ll be doing in the coming years is exploring that further.”</p>

It was the carcass of a giant basking shark, found on the sandbanks close to Fort Perch Rock, at the mouth of Liverpool Bay. <p>According to the poll, which took into consideration the opinion of 2,000 voters, only 10 per cent of people believed Brexit has helped their finances, while 35 per cent say the exact opposite.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Only 9 per cent of people believe the country’s health services have improved, despite promises that leaving the EU would bring back £350m a week into the NHS (National Health Service). A whopping 47 per cent of people said the NHS had worsened over the past three years.</p>

<p>On inflation, just 7 per cent of people said Brexit helped keep prices down, while 63 per cent of them said the&nbsp;opposite and blamed it for the skyrocketing cost of living.</p>

<p>In general, just 22 per cent of voters said Brexit has been good for their nation.</p>

<h2><strong>Hefty promises not fulfilled</strong></h2>

<p>The bleak response from the British public reflects the fact that most of the promises offered to them during the 2016 referendum are yet to be fulfilled, while Brexit’s side effects are glaringly visible.</p>

<p>Rescuers in the UK have apparently found a 12-year-old dog roaming in an English village that went missing nearly seven years ago. Nonprofit organistaion Lost Dog Recovery UK South shared a Facebook post, mentioning details about the miraculous rescue.</p>

<p>Last month, they were informed about a small black dog roaming around in Crawley Down, a village in West Sussex, England.</p>

<p>“Realizing it could just have been an ‘owned dog allowed to roam’ situation, a camera was taken over and food left anyway until more information could be gathered,” the nonprofit was quoted as saying by CNN.</p>

<p>It stated that the dog appeared on camera several times over the following days.</p>

<p>The rescuers also learnt from the locals that the dog had been taken care of for several years and was in “good condition.” They soon figured out it was a senior dog as it had greying eyebrows and muzzle.</p>

<p>After establishing a meal routine for the dog over several days, the rescuers lured her into a secure cage with warm chicken.</p>

<p>Later it was found that the dog had a microchip, which said her name was ‘Rose’.</p>

<p>The microchip also revealed that Rose had gone missing in March 2017, within 24 hours of being adopted.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Further investigation revealed that Rose had been sighted within 10 days of her disappearance but could not be located.</p>

<p>According to the report, several government departments, including the departments of health, culture, media and sport, and environment, food and rural affairs, have been instructed to monitor the social media accounts of certain experts who speak out against the government’s policies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In some cases, Google searches are run targeting special individuals, and based on their views, steps are taken to ensure they don’t use governmental events to criticise the administration.</p>

<p>In September, three early-childhood education experts claimed the Department of Education tried to cancel their invitation to speak at a government-funded event just because they spoke against the education policy.</p>

<p>But later, human rights experts at law firm Leigh Day revealed that the practice was not limited to the Department of Education and in fact, is quite widespread.</p>
