<p>Olympic medallist Gagan Narang made a comeback to the 10m air rifle event as he combined with young Pooja Ghatkar to win the mixed team silver medal in the Grand Prix of Liberation international shooting competition in Pilsen, Czech Republic on Sunday.</p>

<p>The Indian pair came close to overtaking Jurate Cesynaite and Karolis Girulis for the gold, before missing the target by 1.3 point.</p>

<p>They topped the qualification with 833.2 points, with Pooja shooting 413.5 and Gagan 419.7.</p>

<p>The Malaysian police on Monday released computer-generated pictures of the two men behind the killing of a Palestinian Hamas weapons engineer on Saturday in Kuala Lumpur, reports said.&nbsp</p>

<p>The two unidentified men shot Fadi al-Batsh and engineering lecturer and also a Hamas drones and rocket expert, killing him on the spot, reports said. Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister said the suspects were believed to be linked to a foreign intelligence service.</p>

<p>The police department said that the men, who were on motorcycles, fired over 10 shots at the 35-year-old victim. While Hamas and Batsch’s family have pointed the finger at the Mossad, Mohamad Fuzi said it was too early to speculate.</p>

<p>Police Chief Mohamad Fuzi Bin Harun informed that alerts have been made at all country's exit points but said that it is likely that the men may have fled soon after the attack.&nbsp</p>

<p>The photographs of the suspects are based on descriptions by witnesses and not actual pictures saying that it could be possible that they were European&nbspor Middle Eastern, reports said.</p>

<p>Both suspects were on a high-powered, dark-colored motorbike which could be a BMW or a Kawasaki. Both were carrying backpacks and have on dark jackets and helmets, which likely obscured a direct photo of their faces.</p>

<p>Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi added the victim had links with foreign intelligence and was active in pro-Palestinian non-governmental organizations, describing him as an expert in electrical engineering and rocket-building.</p>

<p>The victim could have been seen as “a liability for a country that is an enemy of Palestine,” Zahid was quoted as saying by Bernama.</p>

<p>Hamas, which exercises de facto control over Gaza, said one of its members had been “assassinated” in Malaysia and it had sent a delegation to meet with Malaysian officials to discuss the killing.</p>

<p>Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said Israel’s Mossad intelligence service had been behind past attempts to assassinate Palestinian scientists, and that al-Batsh’s killing “follows this sequence.”</p>

<p>Officials in Israel declined to comment.</p>

<p>Batsh’s uncle Jamal al-Batsh spoke to Reuters in the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip.</p>

Shooting at Florida school on Columbine High School massacre's 19th anniversary

<p>India finished third at the recently concluded 21st Commonwealth Games with 66 medals, including 26 gold medals, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals. There were many moments during&nbsp;the Games which will be cherished forever&nbsp;like Mary Kom, five-time world champion and Olympic bronze medalist, won her first CWG medal by claiming gold in the women's 45-48kg boxing event and young champs like Anish, Mehuli and Manu Bhakar earned glory and made the nation proud.</p>

<p>However,&nbsp;shooters displayed an outstanding performance by bagging a total of 16 medals in different categories. 27 shooters took part in the event and clinched 16 medals out of which seven are gold.</p>

<p>Young shooting sensation Mehuli Ghosh won a silver medal in the 10m air rifle event at the Commonwealth Games. In an exclusive interview with WION.com, Mehuli said, "I don't remember when was the last time I went to school."</p>

<p>With a smile on her face, she also said, "I am missing those (school) days but I wanted this life. I wanted&nbsp;to take part in all these competitions and I wanted all these things to happen."&nbsp;She further&nbsp;added that sports and&nbsp;success at the&nbsp;CWG has changed her life being a teenager.</p>

<p>Mehuli&nbsp;told WION.com about her preparations for CWG. She said,&nbsp;"It's about mental, technical and physical strength, so you have to work on these three things." She clearly mentioned that the performance is mainly depended on the mental, technical and physical strength of the athlete.</p>

<p>She also added, "I just go there to give my best and what I will get from there I don't think that." 17-year old shooting star&nbsp;feels, "It's about putting in the hard work and not thinking about the medals."</p>

<p>Another shooter, Heena Sidhu became the first Indian double medalist at the Commonwealth Games. She clinched gold in the women's 25m pistol (with a CWG record 38) and silver in the 10m air pistol. In an exclusive interaction with WION.com, she told about her ambition&nbsp;to take on world champions in the future events.</p>

<p>Heena said that practice and hard work&nbsp;are the most necessary elements&nbsp;before entering such big events. She further added, "We realise our mistakes from every match and we work on it and we hope that in next match we will be able to deliver better results."</p>

<p>Heena revealed her plans to take on the world champions and said she is "working on it," she further added, "It is about how you are improving every day, and if you are improving every day it means you are on the right track."</p>

<p>She also mentioned, "With all these medals we now feel confident in going into an important year with ASIAN games and World Championship."</p>

<p>Confident double medallist Heena said, "We have learned a lot of lessons, we have done few things right and few things wrong and as an athlete, we know where we went wrong."</p>

Commonwealth Games: India's champion shooters speak to WION

<p>Manu Bhaker clinched gold in the women’s 10m air pistol event after she shot a qualifying CWG record score of 388/400 in her first appearance at the Games.</p>

Four people were killed on Thursday in a shooting at the Osmangazi University in Turkey's northwestern province of Eskisehir, the state-run Anadolu news agency said. The shooter, a researcher at the university, shot dead the assistant dean, faculty secretary, lecturer, and a staff member from the education faculty of the university, Anadolu said. Police had detained the shooter, CNN Turkey said.

<p>The Chief Judicial Magistrate Rural Court in Jodhpur, Rajasthan will be announcing the verdict in the blackbuck case in Kankani tomorrow, April 5, 2018.</p>

<p>Other actor charged in the case included Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and Tabu. The killings angered the Bishnoi community, who protect wildlife with a zeal, and they filed a complaint against the actors and a local involved in the shooting. He was also charged for keeping an arm with an expired license and was charged under the Arms Act. Salman Khan was later acquitted in the arms case by a trial court.</p>

<p>"All of them were in a Gypsy car that night, with Salman Khan in the driving seat. He, on spotting a herd of black bucks, shot at and killed two of them," Public Prosecutor Bhawani Singh Bhati had said.</p>

<p>Salman Khan is facing charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the other actors have been charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.</p>

<p>Refuting these allegations, Salman Khan's counsel H M Saraswat said there were several loopholes in the prosecution's story and it had failed to prove its case beyond any doubt.</p>

<p>"Prosecution has failed to prove the allegations. It engaged in tampering and fabricating evidence and documents as well as roping in fake witnesses to prove its case," he said.</p>

<p>"It even failed to prove that the blackbucks were killed by gunshots. Hence, such investigation cannot be trusted," Saraswat said.</p>

<p>The case also involved two more accused, Dushyant Singh, who was allegedly accompanying the actors when the poaching took place, and Dinesh Gawre said to be Salman Khan's assistant.</p>

<p>"Gawre never appeared in court and was made to disappear by the main accused. Had he been around, there could have been more information available in the case," Bhati claimed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There were two more cases against Salman Khan for allegedly killing two chinkaras (Indian gazelle) in Bhawad area and another in Mathania both in Rajasthan. But, the actor was later acquitted by Rajasthan High Court in 2016 for the poaching of the chinkaras. The prosecutors have challenged his acquittal in a higher court which is currently pending in the SC.</p>

<p>Chinkara, or Indian Gazelle, is an endangered animal accorded the highest protection under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife protection Act 1972. In 2013, the HC had suspended the trial court verdict to allow Salman to travel out of the country for a film shoot. Salman was accused of hunting two Chinkaras at Bhawad in Mathania near Jodhpur on September 26, 1998, and another Chinkara at Ghoda farms two days later on September 28th, while he was in Jodhpur filming for Hum Saath Saath Hain.<br />

<p>India is performing pretty well in the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico. Recently, India grabbed its eighth medal of the competition in the form of Anjum Moudgil, when she won a silver medal in the Women&#39;s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (3P) event.</p>

<p>A 15-year-old Anish Bhanwala, who is competing at his maiden ISSF World Cup, got additional privilege when the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) rescheduled three 10th Board examination papers considering Anish participation in shooting World Cup.</p>

<p>Anish will write two papers in the six-day gap between landing from Mexico and leaving for the Junior World Cup in Sydney. CBSE has granted special dates for dates to take the Hindi, Social Science and Mathematics papers.</p>

<p>These exams are scheduled to take place after his return from Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, which is starting from April 4. The revised dates of exams, which is exclusively for him are April 16, 17 and 18.</p>

<p>It was a heartbreak when, in the Men&#39;s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, the Haryana boy Anish,&nbsp;stood third after the first precision round with a solid 294 and a real chance to make it amongst the top six finalists.</p>

CBSE reschedules board exams dates for shooter Anish Bhanwala

<p>India&#39;s medal increases as Anjum Moudgil grabbed a silver medal in the Women&#39;s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (3P) event at the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.</p>

<p>On day six of the competition, Anjum shot brilliantly to finish behind China&#39;s Ruijiao Pei 455.4 to 454.2 after the 45-shot final. China&#39;s Ting Sun claimed bronze, finishing with a score of 442.2.</p>

<p>This was India&#39;s eighth medal of the competition and the first Silver after having won three Golds and four bronze medals already.</p>

<p>Neeraj Kumar, the second Indian in the fray, also had a similar last series to finish with 569 and on 13th place.</p>

<p>Three finals are slated for Saturday- the Men`s 3P, the Women&#39;s 25m Pistol and Women&#39;s Skeet- while the World Cup concludes on Sunday with the Men&#39;s Skeet final.</p>

<p>India&#39;s gold tally increased after pistol shooter <a href="http://www.wionews.com/sports/issf-world-cup-16-year-old-manu-bhaker-grabs-gold-for-india-34676">Manu Bhaker</a> contributed her second gold medal in the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup when she partnered Om Prakash Mitharval for the 10m Air Pistol mixed team gold on Monday.</p>

<p>Bhaker won her <a href="http://www.wionews.com/sports/issf-world-cup-16-year-old-manu-bhaker-grabs-gold-for-india-34676">second Gold medal</a> a day after she won the Women&#39;s 10m Air Pistol Gold on her senior World Cup debut.</p>

<p>In total, India has now won seven medals and are top of the medal tally in the ongoing International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun stage in Guadalajara, Mexico.</p>

<p>In the final, there were three pairs in contention from the very beginning. <p>After a tough battle between the three, the Indian and the German pair pulled ahead of the French pair decisively after 38 shots, with the Germans ahead of the Indians.</p>

<p>With the final six shots remaining the Germans were ahead of the Indians by 0.1, but Manu and Om Prakash finished strong clinching the battle at the eleventh hour after 48 shots, which was a point ahead of the Germans.</p>

<p>The final scores were in favour of the Indians read 476.1 to 475.2. Mahima Agrawal and Shahzar Rizvi finished fourth with a score of 372.4 in the finals.</p>

<p>The pair of Mehuli Ghosh and Deepak Kumar had won a Bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed team event, making it a total of seven medals in three days for India.</p>

ISSF World Cup: Manu Bhaker strikes gold again

<p>India shooter Shahzar Rizvi made his maiden International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup appearance a memorable one by winning the gold medal in the 10m air pistol event at Guadalajara in Mexico on Saturday.</p>

<p>Rizvi shot a world record score of 242.3 points in the final to beat Christian Reitz of Germany, 239.7 points, to win the top honour.</p>

<p>Ace India shooter Jitu Rai won the bronze in the event with a score of 219 points.</p>

<p>The shooting occurred around 8:30 am at Campbell Hall, a residence hall at Central Michigan, which is about 70 miles north of Lansing. Lt. Larry Klaus of the campus police department described the shooting as a &ldquo;family-type domestic situation.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The suspect ran from the scene following the shooting, according to authorities.</p>

<p>Surveillance cameras showed Davis leaving the dorm and heading north along train tracks. Pieces of clothing were found along the tracks. The Davises were reportedly picking up their son from his college campus for spring break when the shooting happened.</p>

<p>According to a Mumbai-based daily, the movie has currently finished its first leg of shooting in Varanasi and now will be followed by shooting in Bhopal and Patna in the coming months. The last schedule will be in Bihar&#39;s capital, in May but the crew will not travel till the cities and create sets of the cities in Mumbai.</p>

<p>According to the report,&nbsp;director Vikas Bahl has already started working with the set designers to build all three cities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier the Kaabil actor had shared a post on social media about the start of shooting of his film on January 22. He wrote, &quot;On the auspicious day of Saraswati Puja and Basant Panchami, I am beginning my journey of Super 30 where I am playing a teacher for the first time. First look revealed: Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar in 'Super 30'

<p>A deputy from the El Paso County Sheriff&#39;s Department, Micah Flick, 34, was killed, Sheriff Bill Elder said at the press conference. Elder said that Monday was the 11th anniversary of Flick&#39;s hiring at the sheriff&#39;s department. He has a wife and seven-year-old twins. Carey said one officer of the&nbsp;Colorado&nbsp;Springs Police Department was in surgery on Monday night and in stable condition.</p>

<p>Flick is the third&nbsp;Colorado&nbsp;sheriff&#39;s deputy killed in the past five weeks. Last month, a 22-year-old man was charged with the murder of Adams County Deputy Sheriff Heath Gumm, 31, who was gunned down after he and other deputies responded to reports of an assault near the city of Thornton, about 10 miles north of Denver. That followed a New Year&#39;s Eve standoff near Denver that led the death of a Douglas County Sheriff&#39;s deputy in a suburb where four other deputies and two civilians were also shot.</p>

<p>The nonprofit National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund said that 128 law enforcement officers were killed on the job in 2017.</p>

<p>At least four Taliban gunmen attacked Kabul&#39;s landmark Intercontinental Hotel on January 27 and started shooting at guests. The shooting went on for at least 12 hours.</p>

<p>The overnight attack killed at least 22 people, the majority of them were foreigners including citizens from Venezuela, the Ukraine, Germany and Kazakhstan and America.</p>

<p>About 100 people were kept hostage who were released after the attack.</p>

UN urges for a  'humanitarian pause' for Yemen

<p>It seems like United States President, Donald Trump has mixed his updates on California and Texas mass shootings and tweeted about the wrong incident.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A gunman opened fire on a <a href="http://www.wionews.com/world/gunman-opens-fire-in-california-school-4-killed-24235">local elementary school</a> in rural Rancho Tehama near Sacramento in California killing at least four people, on Wednesday.</p>

<p>But, Trump wrote about the Texas shooting where an armed man opened fire inside a church, killing around 25 people and wounding about 20 in the deadliest shooting in history for Texas which happened on November 5.&nbsp;</p>

Trump offered condolences to the wrong shooting on Wednesday.

It seems like United States President, Donald Trump has mixed his updates on California and Texas mass shootings and tweeted about the wrong incident. A gunman opened fire on a local elementary school in rural Rancho Tehama near Sacramento in California killing at least four people, on Wednesday. But, Trump wrote about the Texas shooting where an armed man opened fire inside a church, killing around 25 people and wounding about 20 in the deadliest shooting in history for Texas which happened on November 5. Trump has offered condolences to the wrong shooting on Wednesday in a Tweet which read “May God be with the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas.
