For those who were hoping to see ‘Sultan’ co-stars on the screen again, will have to wait a bit longer as Anushka Sharma has denied being a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next that was to have Anushka and Salman.

According to the reports in DNA, there were chances that the two would have reunited for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next project. While there was no news of Anushka confirming (until her spokesperson denied the news), the report claimed that Salman Khan was to play the lead and that he suggested Anushka’s name for the female lead.

Salman, meanwhile, had confirmed earlier this year that he will reunite with his ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. At the launch of his popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 12’, Salman said, “Yes, I am doing Sanjay’s film.” He also jokingly added, “I don’t know much about it. Have only heard a one-liner about it. But Sanjay is not answering my calls. Please ask him to speak to me.”

Denying Anushka’s involvement in the film, Anushka’s spokesperson said, "Anushka Sharma would love to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali but as of now, there is no truth to the speculations claiming Anushka has been signed for his next. We request you to kindly refrain from reporting on the same."

Reportedly, the project is titled ‘Inshallah’ and director Sanjay might take at least nine months to work on it, before they start shooting. If the project happens, it will be ready for release on Eid 2020.

Salman Khan is busy shooting for next film ‘Bharat’ that will release in theatres in 2019. With an ensemble cast, the film is reportedly one of those that will challenge Khan as the audience will see him donning at least five different avatars.

A remake of a Korean film, Salman’s film will have him sport different looks over a period of 60 years. So naturally, he will also sport a look that projects him as a 20-year-old guy, lean and not-so-muscular while in one he will be his usual muscular self.

In photos that are touted as leaked from the sets, Salman in one is seen sporting a much nerdy look with a plaid shirt, trousers and side-parted hair. The photo was shared by TV actress Pallavi Gupta who got an opportunity recently to visit the sets of ‘Bharat’. Another photo that has come out, looks like one from his shooting schedule in Dubai or Malta. In this, he can be seen flaunting muscles in a half jacket.

Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in ‘Zero’ alongside Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, two Bollywood ladies he has already worked with. Gearing up for release by December this year, the film’s distribution rights have already been sold for a whopping amount.

If reports are to be believed, the all-India distribution rights of the film have been sold for Rs 100 crore on an advance basis. The report states that the movie will have to do a minimum of Rs 190 crore to break even. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan's last few films have been sold on minimum guarantee but ‘Zero’ is on an advance basis which means, in case of loss distributors can claim for the refund.

While the amount is big in itself, in comparison to Shah Rukh’s previous film, ‘Dilwale’, it's quite less.

The trailer of the film will come out on November 3, Shah Rukh’s birth date. The film will also see Salman Khan and other stars in cameo appearances.

Naseeruddin Shah believes cinema serves as a record of times and he would not want the audience to look back at 2018 as the phase of only one kind of cinema, case in point "Salman Khan films".

The veteran actor says cinema is for posterity and hence he takes it as his responsibility to do as many socially relevant films as possible.

"I feel that cinema can't change society or bring a revolution. I'm also not sure of cinema as a medium of education. Documentaries can be educative, not feature films. People see them and forget. The only serious function films can serve is to act as a record of their times," Shah told PTI.

The actor says it's for this reason that he chose to work in movies like 'A Wednesday' or his recent short film, 'Rogan Josh', set in the aftermath of 26/11 attacks.

"I consider it my responsibility to take part in such films. All my serious works are a representative of their times. Cinema will survive. These films would be seen 200 years later.

"People should know what the India of 2018 was like. They shouldn't end up seeing only Salman Khan films 200 years later. India is not like that. Cinema is for posterity," he adds.

'Rogan Josh' by Sanjeev Vig, features Shah as a celebrated chef at The Taj Hotels who invites his family and friends home for dinner to celebrate his birthday.

The dinner table conversation meanders to the shared experience of 26/11 and questions the quality of their existence after the life changing event.

Shah, 68, says he is always keen to work with young people who are struggling against odds to make what they believe in.

"If there's a young man trying to make a song and dance film, I wouldn't give him a second. But here was a young man trying to make a film on a subject he believes should be made.

"I am totally for first-timers. I always hear them seriously. I have done so many films with first timers and I've never regretted it," he says.

'Rogan Josh', by Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, was screened at the 20th edition of Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

The actor, who has worked in a couple of short films, says the medium is absolutely liberating for budding filmmakers.

"The great thing about short films is that there's no pressure of producers sitting on these filmmakers head and telling them who the hero should be and what kind of songs (to he used).

"They are having the freedom to make the kind of film they want to make without the worry of box office," he adds.

Indian cinema shouldn't be remembered just for Salman Khan films, says Naseeruddin Shah

Salman Khan's father Salim Khan supports #MeToo, says 'it is better late than never'

Actress Somy Ali who came to India to make a career in Hindi films and get closer with her “crush” Salman Khan has now shared her own #MeToo story.

In a shocking revelation, Somy took to Instagram to tell the world that she was “sexually abused during childhood”. She said that she, at the age of five, was assaulted by her house-help.

She wrote: “As a survivor of sexual abuse at the age of 5 and rape at 14, I would like to salute all those that have spoken up and plan on doing so. I know it is very difficult to do it because I have been there and it took me many years to be able to talk about it. It takes immense amount of courage to share this with the world. It’s even harder when you tell those that are close to you and they are supposed to protect you, yet they do nothing. I have been there too and it hurts like hell. But I want these survivors to know it is truly liberating and completely worth it. Do not let the nonbelievers stop you. This is your truth. Do not ever be afraid to speak your truth. Do not let this opportunity pass you. This is a moment that has been long overdue for all of us. This is your chance to be heard and finally obtain justice. I believe you." Now, Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Somy Ali shares her #MeToo story

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is happy with India having its own #MeToo movement and the actor Tuesday said more support and strength should be given to the women who are sharing their experiences of sexual harassment.

The #MeToo movement gained momentum in the country in the light of Tanushree Dutta's allegations of harassment against Nana Patekar. Many from the entertainment industry, including Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Vikas Bahl and comedy group AIB, have been called out for various incidents of sexual misconduct and harassment.

"The #MeToo movement has gained momentum in present times. The world has got smaller with social media, one voice is becoming larger. What is nice to see in the present time is that the members of the media are becoming allied and propelling voices that needs to be heard and giving them the platform. The law of the land will take over for justice to be served.

"It wouldn't be right to specifically comment on individual cases as matters would be sub judice and that would not be responsible on our part but having said that, God bless and strength to the voices that need that kind of support and you all need to be there," Aishwarya said in an interview here.

Years back, Aishwarya had accused Salman Khan of physically assaulting her while she was in a relationship with him. Salman had later refuted the allegations- video of which has resurfaced and doing the rounds of the Internet now. Khan had stated in an interview that if he had hit Ash, she wouldn't have survived it.

Turns out she is happy with all the attention that is coming her way thanks to the viral dialogue.

"We never thought that this dialogue would be taken by the audience so well. It's really fun when people give their own version to my dialogue. It has also seeped into my house like if I have a conversation with my sister, she is like, 'Dude, it is my business none of your business'. I am like ok fine," she told a news agency.

"I feel really happy about the response. But knowing what is going around my dialogue, it is Salman who is the happiest so I am happy in that," the actress added. Salman reportedly coined the dialogue himself.
