They also sought a five-year jail term for former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and a $9 million fine for the club. meanwhile, Barcelona said the transfer cost $60 million (€57.1 million), with $42.6 million (€40 million) paid to N&N, Neymar's parents' company, and $18 million to Santos, of which $7.2 million was given to DIS. Spanish prosecutors initially said they believed the actual value was at least 83 million euros. However, in a shocking turn of events, the prosecutors in November dropped all charges against Neymar and other defendants citing there was not enough evidence to show a crime had been committed. Mathias also alleged Pogba sought assistance from a witchcraft doctor ahead of the Euro 2016 final which France lost to Portugal.&nbsp;

“The turning point came with the World Cup in 2018, where Paul had more faith in the witch doctor than in God, entrusting the witch with a big task in order to help the French team win. The witch doctor would go on to tell Mam’s (an intermediary) that the job had already been done, and that was when Mam’s would start to be scared. After that, Paul continued with his witch doctor, notably in the Champions League to ensure that Manchester United would go through against PSG (in 2019).

A steep price for leaving Barcelona? Lionel Messi misses out on Ballon d'Or nomination

Lionel Messi can make a sensational return to FC Barcelona next summer as the Spanish club has reportedly already started negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) over re-signing the Argentine legend. Messi left his boyhood club Barcelona last year after the Catalan giants failed to renew his contract due to financial constraints and La Liga rules.

However,&nbsp;Barcelona are now keen on reuniting with their former superstar and have also started discussions with Messi's representatives over a move back to the club in 2023. The news was reported by Catalunya Radio on Sunday after Barcelona beat Mexican side Pumas UNAM 6-0 in the Joan Gamper Trophy.

As per Catalunya Radio's El Club de la Mitjanit programme, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has begun discussions with Messi's entourage about a possible return to Barcelona next year. Messi currently has a two-year contract at PSG which will expire next summer making him a free agent. The Argentine, however, has an option to extend his deal to another season at the French club.

The Barcelona executive felt UEFA have been light on rich clubs like Man City and PSG, who have great financial backing when it comes to Financial Fair Play regulations. He also felt Barcelona are not in a position to compete with those clubs considering their current financial situation.

The UEFA official understood that his counterpart was trying to find somebody to bribe," The Athletic quoted an excerpt from a book written by Financial Times journalist Simon Kuper which exposed the details of the meeting between the Barcelona executive and the UEFA official.
