The Hubble Space Telescope found a number of young stars in the middle of a massive star cluster called NGC 346, according to Live Science. Considering the formation of new stars, the scientists concluded that the process is quite similar to how celestial bodies were formed in the Milky Way.

The conclusion was supported by the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope.

The newly formed or relatively young stars were found to be spiralling in the middle of the galaxy and the outer arm of the spiral was found to be the perfect birthing place for star formation.

The observations recorded from NGC 346 will now be applied in the studies regarding the Milky Way and it can tell us a lot about how the universe looked around 2 to 3 billion years ago.

"Stars are the machines that sculpt the universe. We would not have life without stars, and yet we don't fully understand how they form," explained study leader Elena Sabbi of the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore according to Live Science.

"We have several models that make predictions, and some of these predictions are contradictory. We want to determine what is regulating the process of star formation, because these are the laws that we need to also understand what we see in the early universe."

A report by Daily Mail mentioned that both Artemis 3 and Chang’e-7 marked sites near Shackleton, Haworth and Nobile craters as potential landing zones.&nbsp;

NASA warns China as Beijing eyes same landing sites near Moon's south pole as US

NASA may have had to postpone (and postpone) launch of its Artemis mission but SpaceX, the company helmed by billionaire Elon Musk is continuing its breathtaking pace of sending its Starlink satellites in space.

Just 32 hours after NASA called off launch of Artemis-1 for the second time, SpaceX's Falcon-9 took to skies with 51 Starlink satellites. The launch took place on Sunday night (September 4). The rocket was launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Base in the US.

The company was able to land the first stage booster rocket. This was its seventh flight.

To date, SpaceX has carried out 61 Starlink launches. This year, the company has carried out 26 launches. Starlink satellites are part of a constellation of satellites SpaceX aims to establish around the Earth. The first operational deployment took place in 2019. More than 3200 satellites have been sent to orbit till now, as per numbers tracked by astronomer Jonathan McDowell.

In 2021, Elon Musk's SpaceX won Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval to fly 2,824 satellites at a lower orbit to provide high-speed broadband internet services to people who currently lack access.

Competitors Viasat Inc and DISH Network Corp challenged the FCC approval, but a U.S. appeals court recently upheld the FCC decision.

Viasat said it believes the "decision is a setback for both space safety and environmental protection."

While NASA struggles, SpaceX sends 51 satellites to space

NASA's Artemis mission to the Moon has been marred by delays. The launch of Artemis-1 was scheduled and delayed again and again. Billionaire and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk now has a suggestion for NASA.

At the time of the launch of Artemis-1 NASA engineers could not overcome a hydrogen leak in a 'quick disconnect' phase of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket launch.

According to Eric Berger of Ars Technica, NASA has a tolerance for a small amount of hydrogen leakage and anything above a 4% concentration of hydrogen near the 'quick disconnect' is considered a flammability hazard.

Musk replied to Berger's 'accurate assessment', saying that "Raptor design started out using H2 (hydrogen), but switched to CH4 (hydrogen). Latter is the best combo of high efficiency and ease of operation in my opinion."

"Delta-v difference between H2 and CH4 is small for most missions, because the CH4 tank is much smaller &amp; no insulation is needed," Musk explained.

The delta-v is the difference of velocity that a rocket engine can impose on a spacecraft as a function of the specific impulse and the variation in the mass of the vehicle itself.

According to him, CH4 (methane) is easier to produce on Mars and is "very important" for launch missions. SpaceX is among the first companies to use liquid methane and hydrogen as fuel.

Elon Musk has plans for a self-sustaining city on Mars in 20 years' time. SpaceX is preparing the Starship mega rocket to take people and cargo to the moon, Mars and beyond.

According to the report, The NASA showstopper "was an 8-inch diameter line carrying liquid hydrogen into the rocket. It sprung a persistent leak at the inlet, known as a quick-disconnect, leading on board the vehicle".

Three of Webb's high-resolution infrared instruments were directed at the tarantula by astronomers. The area appears to be the interior of a silk-lined burrowing tarantula's home when viewed with Webb's Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam). A cluster of massive young stars that glow pale blue in the image has hollowed out the nebula's cavity in the centre of the NIRCam image.

Only the densest regions of the nebula's surroundings withstand erosion by the strong stellar winds of these stars, generating pillars that seem to point back toward the cluster. These pillars hold protostars that are in the process of formation; soon, they will emerge from their dusty cocoons and take turns sculpting the nebula.&nbsp;

One very young star was observed by Webb's Near-Infrared Spectrograph (NIRSpec) doing just that. Previously, astronomers hypothesised that this star might be a little older and now clearing out a bubble around itself.&nbsp;

NIRSpec revealed that the star was still surrounded by an insulating cloud of dust and that it was only just starting to escape from its pillar. This episode of star formation-in-action would not have been discovered without Webb's high-resolution spectra at infrared wavelengths.

The brightest and biggest stars in the world call it home. Three of Webb's high-resolution infrared instruments were directed at the tarantula by astronomers. The area appears to be the interior of a silk-lined burrowing tarantula's home when viewed with Webb's Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam). A cluster of massive young stars that glow pale blue in the image has hollowed out the nebula's cavity in the centre of the NIRCam image. Only the densest regions of the nebula's surroundings withstand erosion by the strong stellar winds of these stars, generating pillars that seem to point back toward the cluster. These pillars hold protostars that are in the process of formation; soon, they will emerge from their dusty cocoons and take turns sculpting the nebula. Previously, astronomers hypothesised that this star might be a little older and now clearing out a bubble around itself. “We know&nbsp;asteroids have hit us in the past,” said Professor Alan Fitzsimmons, an astronomer at Queen’s University Belfast, according to a report in The Guardian. “These impacts are a natural process and they are going to happen in the future. We would like to stop the worst of them.&nbsp;

“The problem is that we have never tested the technology which will be needed to do that. That is the purpose of Dart,” Fitzsimmons, a member of Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission, said.&nbsp;

Although they were minor, hydrogen leaks plagued the earlier attempt on Monday to launch the Space Launch System rocket, which is the most potent NASA has ever produced. On top of that, leaks discovered earlier in the year during countdown drills were discovered.

“Just remember: We’re not going to launch until it’s right,” he said.

NASA has been waiting years to orbit the moon in a crew capsule atop a rocket. Astronauts could fly around the moon in 2024 and land there in 2025 if the six-week demonstration is successful. 50 years have passed since the last lunar landing.

At dawn, the Space Launch System rocket was just beginning to be filled with nearly 1 million gallons of fuel when a sizable leak in the bottom engine section emerged. Launch director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson and her team had just begun this process.

An estimated 400,000 people were gathering on beaches nearby to see although the area around the launch site will be closed to the public.

After engineers detected a fuel leak and a sensor showed that one of the rocket's four main engines was too hot, the initial launch attempt was halted.

According to Jeremy Parsons, deputy manager of exploration ground systems at Kennedy Space Center, "Our team is ready."

The resulting damage could lead to an abrupt engine shutdown and aborted flight if the main engines are not as frigid as the liquid hydrogen fuel flowing into them at minus-420 degrees Fahrenheit as per launch director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson.

The moon-to-Mars Artemis programme, which is NASA's successor to the Apollo lunar missions from fifty years ago, was still on track for a Saturday (September 3) afternoon liftoff of the 32-story-tall Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and its Orion space capsule, according to NASA officials.&nbsp;

The SLS rocket and the Orion spacecraft, which were constructed for NASA by Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp., respectively, are making their first flights as part of the project, dubbed Artemis I.

Orion will be launched by the SLS on a 37-day, unmanned test journey around the moon and return to evaluate both spacecraft before an astronaut-carrying mission is planned for 2024.

"Before we put a crew on them, we want to make sure they work," said NASA Associate Administrator Robert Cabana, a former astronaut who commanded NASA’s Endeavour, the first International Space Station assembly mission in 1998. "One of the things we want to do is we want to make sure that the Orion spacecraft can support a crew of four for 21 days. So originally we were looking at a 42-day mission. With this new launch day, we're looking at 39 days, which is well beyond the 21-day designed operation for the Orion spacecraft. So that's going to be a stress on the system."

The first woman to walk on the moon might return to Earth as early as 2025 if the first two Artemis missions are successful, according to many analysts. However, that target date is likely to be pushed back by a few years.&nbsp;

The only spaceflights to date to land humans on the moon's surface involved six Apollo missions between 1969 and 1972, during which twelve men made moonwalks.

"The difference between Artemis and Apollo is that Apollo went to the moon and those were two or three day missions on the lunar surface," said Cabana. "We want to go back in a sustainable way. We want to plan to live on the moon, to utilize its resources and learn what we need to know to eventually go on to Mars."

In a historic sighting, James Webb Space Telescope captured the first direct image of a planet outside of our solar system. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said that it is roughly six to 12 times the mass of Jupiter.&nbsp;

The American space agency noted that the showcased images from Webb science are in progress, and have not yet been through the peer-review process.&nbsp;

NASA said that the image, which is seen through four different light filters, shows how worlds beyond our solar system can easily be captured by James Webb's powerful infrared gaze.&nbsp;

It paves the way forward in space exploration and gives a peek into future observations that will reveal more information than ever before about exoplanets.&nbsp;

Sasha Hinkley, who is an associate professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom, said, "This is a transformative moment, not only for Webb but also for astronomy generally." Hinkley led these observations with a large international collaboration.&nbsp;

James Webb, the world's largest and most complex space science telescope ever built, has captured an exoplanet called HIP 65426 b.&nbsp;

The exoplanet is about six to 12 times the mass of Jupiter, and NASA said that these observations could help narrow that down even further.&nbsp;

In the blog, NASA said that the exoplanet is young as planets go, about 15 to 20 million years old, compared to 4.5-billion-year-old Earth.&nbsp;

NASA's article mentioned that HIP 65426 b is about 100 times farther from its host star than Earth is from the Sun.&nbsp;

HIP 65426 b was discovered by astronomers in 2017 using the SPHERE instrument on the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in Chile. They took images of it using short infrared wavelengths of light.&nbsp;

As the name suggests, an exoplanet or extrasolar planet is a planet outside the solar system. Experts have noted that the exoplanet is a gas giant, which means it has no rocky surface and could not be habitable.&nbsp;

The American space agency noted that the showcased images from Webb science are in progress, and have not yet been through the peer-review process. NASA said that the image, which is seen through four different light filters, shows how worlds beyond our solar system can easily be captured by James Webb's powerful infrared gaze. It paves the way forward in space exploration and gives a peek into future observations that will reveal more information than ever before about exoplanets. James Webb, the world's largest and most complex space science telescope ever built, has captured an exoplanet called HIP 65426 b. The exoplanet is about six to 12 times the mass of Jupiter, and NASA said that these observations could help narrow that down even further. NASA's article mentioned that HIP 65426 b is about 100 times farther from its host star than Earth is from the Sun. HIP 65426 b was discovered by astronomers in 2017 using the SPHERE instrument on the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in Chile. They took images of it using short infrared wavelengths of light. As the name suggests, an exoplanet or extrasolar planet is a planet outside the solar system. Experts have noted that the exoplanet is a gas giant, which means it has no rocky surface and could not be habitable. 'Transformative moment': James Webb takes direct image of planet outside our solar system

Voyager probes are human-made spacecrafts that have gone farthest from the Earth. The spacecrafts have left the Solar System and are still moving ahead into interstellar space. It is quite a thing of wonder that the spacecrafts have been able to maintain contact with the Earth. They are still sending invaulable information.

It was therefore an alarming situation when Attitude Articulation and Control System (AACS) of Voyager-1 started sending garbled data. The AACS keeps the probe's antenna pointed at Earth.

NASA engineers have analysed the probe's data for months and now have been able to fix the problem.&nbsp;

"The team has since located the source of the garbled information: The AACS had started sending the telemetry data through an onboard computer known to have stopped working years ago, and the computer corrupted the information," Nasa has said in an update.

Voyager-1 is so far away from the Earth that a signal from the probe takes 21 hours 45 minutes 45 seconds to reach Earth. And even with best of equipments here on Earth, a signal takes same amount of time to reach Voyager.&nbsp;

It's good news anyway that humanity's herald is back in good shape.

“We’re happy to have the telemetry back. We’ll do a full memory readout of the AACS and look at everything it’s been doing. That will help us try to diagnose the problem that caused the telemetry issue in the first place. So, we’re cautiously optimistic, but we still have more investigation to do,” Suzanne Dodd, Voyager’s project manager, said in a statement.

The purpose of Artemis 1, which is named after Apollo's twin sister, is to test the Orion crew capsule and the 322-foot (98-meter) Space Launch System rocket.

The trip is unmanned; instead of astronauts, sensor-equipped mannequins will report the amounts of acceleration, vibration, and radiation.&nbsp;

The launch, which comes 50 years after the last Moon landing by Apollo 17 astronauts, attracted tens of thousands of spectators, including US Vice President Kamala Harris.&nbsp;

NASA’s new moon rocket will make its debut next week in a risky test flight before astronauts reach the lunar surface.

The 322-foot rocket will attempt to launch an empty crew capsule into lunar orbit, fifty years after NASA’s renowned Apollo moon shots.

However, the six-week plan is dangerous. The space agency still hopes to put two people on the lunar surface by the end of the year 2025, but if things go as per plan, astronauts could strap in as early as 2024 for a trip around the moon.

NASA administrator Bill Nelson said that if things go wrong for the Artemis programme, spiralling expenses and lengthy intervals between missions will make it difficult for the agency to make a comeback.

Compared to the Saturn V rockets that launched 24 Apollo astronauts to the moon 50 years ago, the new rocket is shorter and leaner, but with 4 million kilogrammes of thrust, it is more powerful.

The new rocket, in contrast to the Saturn V’s sleek design, includes two strap-on boosters.
