While speaking to Empire, Mangold said that in the first few minutes, we will get to see the classic Indy — as in the hero of the first three movies. This will be enabled by that modern movie miracle — digital de-aging.&nbsp;

“I wanted the chance to dive into this kind of full-on George-and-Steven old picture and give the audience an adrenaline blast," said Mangold. The scene will pit Indy once again against the Nazis in the 1940s.

Ford said he was convinced by the de-aging technology, something that has been dodgy to simply awful in the past. For instance, while Robert de Niro looked fine as a younger version of himself in Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman', he moved and behaved like a man in his 70s, which he really is.&nbsp;

While speaking to Deadline, Mikkelsen, also known for 'Hannibal' and 'Doctor Strange', said, "Obviously, well, now the course has changed—he won the suit, the court [case]—so let’s see if he comes back. He might. I’m a big fan of Johnny. I think he’s an amazing actor, I think he did a fantastic job."

Mikkelsen added that when he portrayed the role, he made sure not to imitate Depp as that would have been a "creative suicide".

"So, we had to come up with something else, something that was mine, and build a bridge between him and me. So, yes, it was intimidating. His fans were very, very sweet, but they were also very stubborn. I didn’t interact too much with them, but I could understand why they had their hearts broken," added Mikkelsen.&nbsp;

The 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise is set in the same world as the 'Harry Potter' movie series. It tells the story of the great conflict between a young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Grindelwald, who was the most powerful dark wizard the world had ever seen until Voldemort arrived.&nbsp;

Wizarding world's best and perhaps only magi zoologist Newt Scamander is back, this time to aid a rather younger, slightly helpless Albus Dumbeldore to save the world in David Yates' 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbedore'. The third in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, the film has JK Rowling writing the story and screenplay and greatly shifts the focus to grown-ups in the wizarding world- far from fun at Hogwarts but still manages to make magic and the wizarding world entertaining and engaging.&nbsp;

The film was in news for a greater part of 2021 when Johnny Depp, who played Grindelwald in the first two films, was replaced after the actor lost a libel case with a UK tabloid that accussed him of being a 'wife beater'. Mads Mikkelsen replaced Depp to play Grindelwald and there were speculations amongst fans whether Mikkelsen would be able to do justice to the role which Depp had played so well.&nbsp;

The good news is that Mikkelsen plays it in his style and brings in class to his evil, maddening, power-hungry character Grindelwald.&nbsp;

So what is the story of 'Secrets of Dumbledore'? The film opens at a restaurant in London where Dumbledore and Grindelwald meet. Both have aged and talk of a time when the two together wanted to change the world. They were in love (this is perhaps the first time that Dumbeldore's love life is discussed in any story of Rowling's) they were young and had dreams. With time they realised that they both wanted to change the world but had a different approach to it and decided to part ways but with a blood pact, which forbids them from killing each other.&nbsp;

In the present day, Grindelwald is building an army and also eyeing the post of the head of the wizarding world. He aims to destroy the muggles and take control of the world with the help of dark arts.&nbsp;

Dumbledore (Jude Law) is of course aware and while he cannot himself fight Grindelwald because of an old pact, he creates his army comprising of Scamander(Eddie Redmayne), Muggle baker and WWI vet, Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), Theseus (Callum Turner)- Scamander’s older brother who works in the British Ministry of Magic, Lally Hicks (Jessica Williams) who teaches at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Yusuf Kama (William Nadylam) who once was on the other side but has since changed his ways and realised his mistake and Scamander’s assistant, Bunty (Victoria Yeates).&nbsp;

There is also Credence (Ezra Miller) who has been hired by Grindelwald to kill Dumbledore as the young troubled boy has a lot of pent up anger against the Hogwarts professor which Grindelwald wants to use to his advantage.&nbsp;

The first two films of 'Fantastic Beasts' lived up to its name and truly showcased a lot of VFX enabled, fascinating creatures- tamed by Newt Scamander. In the third part, the film eerily resembles the current turbulent times where Grindelwald talks of inevitable doom on mankind and Dumbledore tries his best to protect it.&nbsp;

Some lines seem to resonate with real life or the present war times. Of course, those lines are attributed to the wise Dumbledore. "Dangerous times favour dangerous men" or "Things that seem unimaginable today will seem inevitable tomorrow. If we don't stop him."

The film, therefore, is not really for the young Potter heads because it talks of some complex issues that the world and mankind at large have faced throughout history. It also becomes too serious and slightly sluggish in the middle but eventually gets back its pace, especially in the second half.&nbsp;

While recurring stars like Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller and Dan Fogler remain true to their character, it is Mikkelsen who shines with his steely looks and cool as ice demeanour. It's not as maddening as Depp had made his Grindelwald and that's a good thing because Mikkelsen gives the character his signature style.&nbsp;

The good news is that Mikkelsen plays it in his style and brings in class to his evil, maddening, power-hungry character Grindelwald. So what is the story of 'Secrets of Dumbledore'? The film opens at a restaurant in London where Dumbledore and Grindelwald meet. Both have aged and talk of a time when the two together wanted to change the world. They were in love (this is perhaps the first time that Dumbeldore's love life is discussed in any story of Rowling's) they were young and had dreams. With time they realised that they both wanted to change the world but had a different approach to it and decided to part ways but with a blood pact, which forbids them from killing each other. In the present day, Grindelwald is building an army and also eyeing the post of the head of the wizarding world. He aims to destroy the muggles and take control of the world with the help of dark arts. Dumbledore (Jude Law) is of course aware and while he cannot himself fight Grindelwald because of an old pact, he creates his army comprising of Scamander(Eddie Redmayne), Muggle baker and WWI vet, Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), Theseus (Callum Turner)- Scamander’s older brother who works in the British Ministry of Magic, Lally Hicks (Jessica Williams) who teaches at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Yusuf Kama (William Nadylam) who once was on the other side but has since changed his ways and realised his mistake and Scamander’s assistant, Bunty (Victoria Yeates). There is also Credence (Ezra Miller) who has been hired by Grindelwald to kill Dumbledore as the young troubled boy has a lot of pent up anger against the Hogwarts professor which Grindelwald wants to use to his advantage. The first two films of 'Fantastic Beasts' lived up to its name and truly showcased a lot of VFX enabled, fascinating creatures- tamed by Newt Scamander. In the third part, the film eerily resembles the current turbulent times where Grindelwald talks of inevitable doom on mankind and Dumbledore tries his best to protect it. Some lines seem to resonate with real life or the present war times. Of course, those lines are attributed to the wise Dumbledore. "Dangerous times favour dangerous men" or "Things that seem unimaginable today will seem inevitable tomorrow. If we don't stop him." The film, therefore, is not really for the young Potter heads because it talks of some complex issues that the world and mankind at large have faced throughout history. It also becomes too serious and slightly sluggish in the middle but eventually gets back its pace, especially in the second half. While recurring stars like Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller and Dan Fogler remain true to their character, it is Mikkelsen who shines with his steely looks and cool as ice demeanour. It's not as maddening as Depp had made his Grindelwald and that's a good thing because Mikkelsen gives the character his signature style. Actor Mads Mikkelsen, who has replaced Johnny Depp in upcoming film 'Fantastic Beasts' has said that he wished he could have spoke to Depp about playing dark wizard Grindelwald.&nbsp; 
 
Depp played the character in the previous two films of the popular franchise and was replaced in the third part after he lost a major libel suit relating to domestic abuse allegations by his former wife Amber Heard against a UK newspaper last November.&nbsp; 
 
In a recent interview Mikkelsen spoke about the film and stepping into Depp's shoes. The Danish star steered away from commenting on whether Depp losing the role was fair or not but mentioned that he would have loved to talk to the American actor about the character.&nbsp; 
 
"I mean, obviously, they were going to do the film, and obviously he was not involved any more. But I didn't have a dog in that fight. And I don't know what happened (in his private life), and I don't know if it was fair, him losing the job, but I just knew that the show was going on, and I would've loved to have talked to him about it if I had the chance, but I just don't know him in that sense," Mikkelsen, 55, told The Times.

The actor reiterated that he wants to add his own touch to the character of Grindelwald while retaining a few links with how Depp played the role. 
 
"I didn't want to copy what Johnny had done. I think he's a masterful actor, so copying him would've been creative suicide," he said.

 
"I had to figure out something that was definitely my own, and yet also act as a bridge to what he had done. My take is different, and the look is a little different, but we'll have to wait for the film's release (next year) to find out," he added. 
 
Mikkelsen is currently working on 'Indian Jones 5'. Fronted by Hollywood veteran Harrison Ford, the fifth film in the popular action adventure franchise is set to be released in the summer of 2022.&nbsp;

Vinterberg`s daughter Ida, who was due to make her acting debut in 'Another Round', died in a car accident, aged 19, as filming commenced. 
"It`s been a brutal and heartbreaking journey that ended up with a beautiful film. Obviously, the price for that is too big but I think we are all really pleased that we can hail Ida through these nominations," said Mikkelsen. 
 
"We had a meeting, all of the actors and the writer and we sat down once Thomas decided that he wanted to continue with the film, to honour Ida," he said. "It just became the most important thing any of us had ever done, I think." 
 
"Another Round" follows a group of teachers who make a pact to drink a certain amount of alcohol every day in the hope it will improve their lives. Their decision impacts their own lives and those of their students, family and friends. 
 
"It`s an interesting thing because kids have been watching it and watching themselves up there. We`ve had anonymous alcoholics watching it and thinking the film was about them. We`ve had people my age identifying the dilemmas. So, I think you are taking out whatever you want to take out but in Thomas`s and my world it is a film about reclaiming your life, it is never too late," Mikkelsen said. 
 
Vinterberg and Mikkelsen previously collaborated on "The Hunt" which was nominated for a foreign film Oscar and Golden Globe award in 2014.

The country failed to make this edition's shortlist, with East Asia represented by Taiwan's acclaimed family drama "A Sun" and Hong Kong's high-school bullying saga "Better Days."

But "Parasite" distributor Neon will hope for repeat glory with Ivory Coast's "Night of the Kings," a mystical fable told within the walls of the African country's notorious Maca prison.

"La Llorona," a modern political retelling of the folklore horror tale, set among ruthless military leaders and indigenous tribes, hopes to become Guatemala's first nominated film.

Romania and Tunisia -- also never nominated -- made the cut with their submissions too.

Submissions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, Czech Republic, Iran, Norway and Russia round off the international feature film list.

Italy's submission "Notturno" did not feature on the international shortlist, even though no country has won more Oscars in the category than the land of Federico Fellini.

But "Notturno," about everyday people fleeing devastating Middle East conflicts, made the best documentary Oscar shortlist -- also unveiled Tuesday -- instead.

It will compete with disability documentary "Crip Camp" from the Obamas' production house, as well as Wuhan pandemic hospital film "76 Days," Texas teen politics portrait "Boys State" and prison system feature "Time."

'Wife of a Spy'&nbsp;first released in Japan as a television movie in June last year. A theatrical version of the film was selected in the main competition section of the 77th Venice International Film Festival and won the Silver Lion. The movie features actors Yu Aoi and Issey Takahashi. 
 
A total of 224 films will be screened under different sections at the 51st IFFI, which will be organised in a hybrid format in the wake of the pandemic.
