<p>In a shocking turn of events, singer Liam Payne is dead. The former member of boyband One Direction died on Wednesday (Oct 16) after falling from a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to police. He was 31.</p>

Liam Payne banned from driving for 6 months after speeding conviction

<p>Liam Payne, the former One Direction member, postponed his upcoming South America tour, due to&nbsp;his serious kidney infection. Taking to his Instagram account, the singer shared a video of him revealing that with a heavy heart, he had to postpone his scheduled concert due to a sudden health scare.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the video, Liam said that he was feeling unwell lately and was set to begin the tour on September 1, but he “ended up in the hospital with a bad kidney infection”.</p>

<p>Along with the video, he wrote in the caption, “It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover.”</p>

<p>During an Instagram Live, the 27-year-old explained to producer Ben Winston that seeing his son Bear Grey has been "complicated" as the 3½-year-old is currently staying with his mom Cheryl. He added that he gets tested for COVID-19 before visiting his son.<br />

"I went and saw Bear today. We had a little hangout which was quite nice as I hadn`t seen him in a couple of weeks," Payne said.<br />

Payne co-parents his son with former partner Cheryl after the pair split in July 2018. Payne admitted that visiting his son is "hard with the COVID thing".<br />

"It`s hard with the COVID thing as I have to make sure I`m negative before I go over and see him so it`s having to wait that couple of days before you can test so... he`s only up the street and it`s dead complicated but he`s gotten so big, huge," he added.</p>

<p>Despite his son being "only up the street," Payne said the co-parenting situation has been "dead complicated." The star, who recently proposed to model Maya Henry, also noted that his son has "gotten so big."</p>

Payne has revealed he's been chatting to his former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, who have all had solo careers since the band went on indefinite hiatus four years ago.<br />

While speaking to The Sun, Liam has revealed that social distancing in the wake of coronavirus pandemic has made him catch up with his former bandmates. The boys have been regularly chatting up and celebrating their 10 years in the music industry is something that is discussed regularly.<br />
<br />
“There's a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around. But more than anything it's just been a real good time for us to connect together again," Payne said.<br />
It is, however, unclear whether the reunion will also have Zayn Malik participating. Malik quit the band in 2015 and since then launched a solo career and is in news for his high profile relationship with model Gigi Hadid.<br />
<br />
While Payne, in his interview did not mention Malik inclusion, he did state that he was very happy with the way Harry Styles' career had shaped.</p>
