On Sunday, B-town couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who last shared screen space in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Brahmastra', were spotted cheering together for their football team Mumbai City FC at the Indian Super League. In no time, photos and videos of the two went viral on social media and netizens gushed over their adorable bond.

Taking some time off of their parenting duties, the two reached the football stadium to see Mumbai City FC clashing against Kerala Blasters. Several pictures and videos of the couple surfaced on the internet and did rounds.

Ranbir, who co-owns Mumbai City FC along with Bimal Parekh, was seen sporting his team's jersey along with a pair of denim pants and a black cap. Alia, on the other hand, opted for a black jacket and a pair of skinny denim pants. She completed her look with open tresses.

The two shelled major couple goals at the stand and their PDA moments made waves on the internet. In one viral snap, the two were seen holding hands and paying attention to the match.

The two even met and congratulated players from Mumbai City FC after their stupendous win.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt had an adorable reaction to British Film Institute's Robin Baker saying that she should be nominated at the British Academy Film Awards and Oscars for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. The actress sent her love to the BFI curator after he penned a long note appreciating her portrayal of one of Mumbai's well-known and influential brothel owners.

On his Instagram post, Baker wrote, "If I was a member of BAFTA or the Academy (I'm not), this year I would be voting for Alia Bhatt as Best Actress for her performance in GANGUBAI KATHIAWADI (Sanjay Leela Bhansali, India, 2022). She plays a prostitute turned underworld brothel madam turned campaigner for sex workers’ rights, and the joy of her performance is how she grows as her character develops. (sic)"

Although he is not a member of the BAFTA or the Academy, Baker urged voters to consider Alia for Best Actress awards and nominate her.

The head curator at BFI further wrote, "The film is big, brash, sentimental and hugely enjoyable, but Bhatt is sensational. There's the additional pleasure of the film's classic Hindi cinema references - from Gangubai's love of Dev Anand to scenes of cinema-going in the 50s and 60s to the numerous film posters lining the streets around Bombay's red light district. If you haven't seen it (especially BAFTA and Academy Award-voting friends), please head to Netflix ASAP."

'Main Atal Hoon': First look of Pankaj Tripathi as Atal Bihari Vajpayee unveiled on his birth anniversary

Auction house Christie's on Monday announced record sales of $8.4 billion in 2022, outshining its rival Sotheby's, which also posted its best-ever result at $8 billion for the year.

Christie's racked up $7.2 billion in auctions and another $1.2 billion in private sales, easily topping the $7.1 billion it made in 2021 as the art world emerged from the Covid-19 pandemic, which greatly hindered auction operations.

"In 2022, despite a challenging macro-environment, Christie's has achieved our highest ever global sales," chief executive officer Guillaume Cerutti said, referring to economic challenges sparked by inflation and the war in Ukraine.

He noted: "the resilience of the art and luxury markets, the remarkable success of several major art collections -- including the unforgettable Paul Allen sale -- and the expertise and hard work of our teams around the world."

Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft alongside Bill Gates, died in 2018. In 2009, he signed the "Giving Pledge" -- a promise to donate the majority of one's wealth to charity.

His extensive collection, spanning 500 years of art history, raked in a massive $1.6 billion. Five works went for more than $100 million each, including a Cezanne, a Van Gogh and a Gauguin.

And at a separate Christie's sale in May, a famed Andy Warhol portrait of Marilyn Monroe -- "Shot Sage Blue Marilyn" -- sold for $195 million, setting a record for a piece of 20th-century art.

Last week, Sotheby's announced a year-end total sales projection of $8 billion, as compared with $7.3 billion in 2021. That data includes art and luxury items, but also homes and collector cars.

The auction house -- owned by French-Israeli telecoms magnate Patrick Drahi -- also noted that its client base in Asia was "rapidly expanding," and that those collectors were "spending more per person on average than collectors from elsewhere."

To send holiday greetings from the sky, Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise shared a video on Twitter from the set of 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' in South Africa and expressed his gratitude for his fans' support for his last film 'Top Gun: Maverick' After wishing everyone happy holidays, he jumped off the plane and showed off his skydiving skills. "Hey everyone," Cruise, who is well known for performing his own dramatic stunts, said in the video. "Here we are over stunning South Africa, where we're filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning parts one and two. And I didn't want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theatres and thank you for supporting 'Top Gun: Maverick'." 'Dead Reckoning' director Christopher McQuarrie, who was also the screenwriter for 'Top Gun: Maverick' interrupted the actor and he playfully reminded him to keep his speech short. "Listen, we really gotta roll, we gotta get the shot," McQuarrie said. "Where was I?" Cruise asked while free-falling. "Oh yeah. Thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick, and thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honour of a lifetime." "As you can see, we are filming the latest instalment of Mission: Impossible, and right now we are over gorgeous Blyde Canyon in stunning South Africa." Meanwhile, in October, it was reported that Cruise could be blasted off into space to perform a spacewalk for an upcoming film helmed by Doug Liman. Julie Andrews says it's unlikely she'll reprise her role in 'The Princess Diaries 3': Here's why

It seems that Migos rapper Offset still hasn't been able to fully recover from his cousin, bandmate and dear friend Takeoff's death. On November 1, he was brutally shot by an unidentified man at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston after an altercation. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Opening up about how her husband Offset is dealing with Takeoff's unfortunate and shocking demise, Cardi B shared a voice note on Twitter and called out netizens who were "trying to be funny to get clout".

In a since-deleted Twitter voice note, Cardi B said, "We living our life normally, but deep down inside our hearts have been so heavy. I feel like if I talk about the incident so desensitized, I feel like if we talk about how we really feel or what motherf---kers really been going through, y'all will start saying, 'Oh, sympathy.' And we don't want no sympathy. We ain't no charity case. But no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy."

Pop legend Michael Jackson's struggle with drugs has been widely reported. However, a new documentary that is due for release next month, has brought new details to light. According to 'TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson', the singer was abusing drugs for most of his life in alarming doses and was allegedly enabled to do so by several doctors.

LAPD detective Orlando Martinez, who was assigned to investigate Jackson’s death, said in the new doc, "Circumstances had been leading up to his death for years, and all of these different medical professionals had allowed Michael to dictate his own terms, get the medicines he wanted, when he wanted them, where he wanted them. All of them are the reason why he’s dead today.”

Ed Winter, the assistant chief coroner for LA County, has also claimed in the documentary that Jackson had 19 false aliases to collect different drugs, and Hollywood dermatologist Arnold Klein use to keep a record of which prescriptions went to which fake identity card.

According to Winter, "Jackson had been taking the propofol in Gatorade-size bottles at the time of his death."

A sneak peek of the song `Phero Na Najariya` from the film was unveiled for the audience at the Netflix Films Day on Monday. Set in the 1930s and late 1940s, `Qala` is the story of the young, eponymous playback singer. It is about her tragic past and the ways in which it catches up with her, causing her to unravel at the peak of her hard-won success because of her spiralling relationship with her mother. Setting the tone of the film, the song teaser showcases Tripti Dimri channelling emotions in a retro avatar with the soulful track by Amit Trivedi, the lyrics of which have been written by Kausar Munir. Present in attendance at the event were director Anvitaa Dutt along with the cast - Swastika Mukherjee, Babil, Tripti Dimri and Amit Sial. Dutt, who had earlier collaborated with Tripti in `Bulbbul`, said: "Qala is a story I have been aching to tell and I am delighted for it to be amplified across borders and showcased in over 190 countries on Netflix."
