The 31-year-old is currently in Rajkot and awaiting visa clearances after which he will travel to Chattogram to join the team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Unadkat replaces fast bowler Mohammed Shami who injured his shoulder ahead of the Bangladesh series. The pacer was instantly ruled out of the ODI series but a slight chance remained that he may be back in time for the Test series.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, Shami, who is currently undergoing rehab at BCCI's National Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru will take more time before returning to the field.&nbsp;</p>

Jaydev Unadkat called in as replacement for Mohammed Shami ahead of Bangladesh Test series

<p>Virat Kohli on Saturday smashed his 44th ODI century, breaking a three-year-long&nbsp;century drought. Kohli brought up the hundred against Bangladesh in the third ODI&nbsp;in Chattogram.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The century came after a gap of 1,214 days spread&nbsp;across 25 innings. Kohli had last hit an ODI century against West Indies in Port of Spain in 2019.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kohli now has 72 international centuries which takes him ahead of Australian great Ricky Ponting. The only man ahead of Kohli now is Sachin Tendulkar who has 100 centuries to his name.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kohli was off the blocks in a slow manner as Bangladesh picked the early wicket of Shikhar Dhawan and pegged the Indian innings back. After consecutive failures in the first two matches of the series, Kohli was cautious and refrained from taking risks.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kohli had the rub of luck going his way&nbsp;as well. Opposition skipper Litton Das dropped him twice during the innings. The first instance came in the seventh over when Das dropped a sitter at short midwicket off the bowling of Mehidy Hasan Miraz.</p>

<p>Suryakumar currently has 935 runs to his name in 26 matches this year and is just 65 runs short of becoming the second batter after Rizwan to complete 1,000 runs in T20Is in a calendar year. He has been averaging 42.50 in T20Is this year and has stuck at a brilliant 183.69.</p>

<p>India`s Suryakumar Yadav has grabbed the top position for batters in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men's T20I Player Rankings after smashing two half-centuries over the past week in the Men's T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Yadav's 51 not out off 25 balls against the Netherlands in Sydney and a valiant 68 off 40 against South Africa in Perth have helped him overtake New Zealand's Devon Conway and Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan. They had held the top spot since 4 September this year.</p>

<p>Yadav is the 23rd player to top the T20I batting rankings and only the second Indian to reach No. 1 in T20 cricket after Virat Kohli, who spent 1,013 days at the top in different periods from September 2014 to December 2017. ICC T20I Rankings: Suryakumar Yadav becomes No. 1 batter, ends Pakistan opener Md Rizwan's reign

<p>Virat Kohli broke Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene's record in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 on Wednesday (November 02) as the senior India batter became the leading run-getter in the history of the tournament. Kohli slammed a brilliant knock of unbeaten 64 in India's Super 12 clash against Bangladesh to go past Jayawardene in the elite list.</p>

<p>Kohli, who averages over 80 in the T20 World Cup, now has 1065 runs to his name in 25 matches at a strike rate of over 132, including 13 fifties. He notched up his third fifty in just four matches in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia on Wednesday.</p>

<p>Jayawardene had amassed 1016 runs in 31 matches in the T20 World Cup but Kohli managed to overtake him in just 25 matches. The Sri Lankan great congratulated Kohli for his feat and hailed him as a warrior for his remarkable consistency. In a video shared by the ICC, Jayawardene lauded Kohli for proving form is temporary and class is permanent.</p>
