<p>Despite the collective efforts of those attempting to catch the creature, it deftly manoeuvred through yards, determined to escape capture.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, undeterred by the goat's cunning tactics, an officer sprang into action, sprinting after the agile animal down the street.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the second goat led another officer on a different adventure, as seen by their body camera footage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The rebellious goat opted for an open field as its playground. Fortunately, this goat didn't put up much resistance, making the chase somewhat more manageable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Within 10 to 12 days of his birth he was already appearing in all the national and international media -- and won a beauty contest," a proud Narejo says.</p>

<p>"Within 30 days he became so popular that even a famous personality might take 25 to 30 years to achieve this level of fame."</p>

<p>Simba's ears are so long that Narejo has to fold them over his back to stop the little bleater from standing on them.</p>

<p>Narejo has also design a harness which lets Simba carry his ears around easily.</p>

<p>Narejo is wary of the attention Simba has attracted -- including from rival breeders -- and has resorted to prayer and tradition to try to fend off any ill will.</p>

<p>"We recite Koranic verses and blow on him to cast away the evil eye," Narejo said.</p>

<p>"Following a long tradition we inherited from our elders, we have fastened a black thread around him that is fortified with Koranic verses."<br />
Narejo plans to raise Simba as a stud to promote the image of Pakistan as a top goat breeding nation.</p>

<p>"Simba's Pakistan name must roam the whole world," he said.</p>

<p>Rupali, 23, ran out of her house when she heard her goat scream out of terror as the tiger attacked it. She then picked up a stick and hit the tiger and was then counter-attacked, leaving her with multiple injuries.&nbsp;</p>

<p>If it hadn't been for her mother, who pulled her inside, the situation could have been much worse. The mother also sustained some minor injuries, reports said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rupali had injuries on her head, &nbsp;waist, legs, and hands, but they were only superficial and she has been able to make a full recovery.</p>

<p>A doctor who treated her praised her "exemplary courage" in fighting off the tiger but said she was lucky not to have been bitten by the animal.<br />

<p>The meat is then distributed in equal parts to the poor, to relatives, and consumed by the family themselves.</p>

<p>The centuries-old festival is steeped in tradition, but this year some middle-class Pakistanis are turning to technology to skip the packed markets and ordering their animals via the ride-sharing app Careem.</p>

<p>The app, which is growing in popularity in Pakistan, introduced a &quot;Bakra (goat) on wheels&quot;&nbsp;initiative in the run-up to Eid, with specially-painted trucks ferrying the animals to customers.</p>

<p>The response was &quot;substantial&quot;, Careem marketing executive Abuzar Khan told <em>AFP</em>, adding they have sold nearly 30 goats so far.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But there was little chance of it threatening demand for animals at the country&#39;s&nbsp;bustling cattle markets.</p>

<p>Social media was flooded with videos showing camels being transported by rickshaw and sheep clinging to the back of motorcycles as Pakistanis shepherded their purchases home.</p>

<p>Experts say that the livestock market in Pakistan is growing by up to four per cent annually as more young entrepreneurs are taking interest, and volume is high during Eid, explained trader Syed Hayat Raza Naqvi.</p>
