<p>The platform looked at vocabulary breadth, vocabulary sophistication, textual readability, critical thinking and contextual relevance of the speech of the respective tech executives as defining criteria of their analysis.</p>

<p>According to the aforementioned analysis by Preply, Demis Hassabis of Artificial Intelligence company DeepMind with a score of 87.33 leads the pack among 100 tech leaders active in the United States.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone (74.33), ace investment strategist Warren Buffet (74.00), David Solomon of Goldman Sachs (71.33) and former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos (71.00) were placed right next after DeepMind CEO in the list of most intelligent tech leaders.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Elon Musk’s social media platform X has removed hundreds of Hamas-affiliated accounts and taken action to label or remove “tens of thousands of pieces of content” in the days after the Hamas attack on Israel, said the firm’s CEO Linda Yaccarino, on Thursday (Oct 12).&nbsp;</p>

<p>This comes after European Union commissioner and self-styled “digital enforcer” Thierry Breton raised alarm about a surge of online disinformation, especially over the Israel-Hamas conflict and demanded to know what Musk was doing to mitigate it.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>X CEO defends social media platform</strong></h2>

<p>Since Hamas launched a surprise weekend attack on Israel, the EU industry chief gave the social media platform’s owner a 24 hour-ultimatum to tackle the disinformation to comply with new EU online content rules, which require the removal of illegal content and to take measures to tackle the risks to public security and civic discourse.</p>

<p>The X CEO also said that the microblogging platform had redistributed resources and refocused internal teams to address the rapidly evolving situation but did not mention any specific changes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a letter dated Wednesday, Yaccarino wrote that it had also taken down posts that involved “violent speech, manipulated media and graphic media”.</p>

<p>She added that the Musk-owned social media platform assembled a leadership group to assess the situation shortly after the attack.</p>

<p>The X CEO’s response came days after Breton sent a letter to its owner Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, demanding that each of them provide details within 24 hours on how “illegal content and disinformation” is being removed from their platforms in line with the EU’s recently-implemented Digital Services Act (DSA).&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the X CEO, the microblogging platform has responded to more than 80 take-down requests received in the EU within required timelines, but has not received any notices from Europol regarding illegal content on the platform.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A researcher at the Atlantic Council Digital Forensics Research Lab, Emerson T. Brooking posted that @sentdefender is an “absolutely poisonous account. regularly posting wrong and unverifiable things … inserting random editorialisation and trying to juice its paid subscriber count.”<br />

The War Monitor account has spoken over Israel and religion, sharing a year ago that “the overwhelming majority of people in the media and banks are zionists” and telling a correspondent in June to “go worship a jew lil bro.”<br />

Information researchers stated that the fresh conflict will prove an early test of how the new version of Twitter, X, spreads accurate data amid a major crisis, further stating that the platform's immediate impression was poor.<br />
<br />
“Anecdotal evidence that X is failing this stress test is plentiful,” stated Mike Caulfield, a research scientist at the University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public, while speaking to The Washington Post.</p>

More accounts on X shared videos and photos of unrelated attacks from past years while making false claims that Iran or other countries have also got engaged in the conflict.<br />
<br />
An account, which imitated the Jerusalem Post, falsely stated that the Israeli prime minister was admitted to the hospital. The post received more than 700,000 views.</p>

<p>Former US president Donald Trump has dropped out of the Forbes 400 list of wealthy American individuals after his net worth dwindled by more than $600 million.</p>

<p>Trump’s net worth now stands at $2.6 billion, according to the magazine, which had valued the real estate tycoon at $3.2 billion in the 2022 list.</p>

<p>The richest person continues to be Tesla CEO Elon Musk, with a net worth of $251 billion,&nbsp;according&nbsp;to the ranking.</p>

<p>The exclusion comes in the wake of Trump facing a civil fraud trial in New York where he is accused of vastly overrepresenting his wealth and the values of many of his properties.</p>

<p>Forbes said that Trump, “who has been obsessed with getting featured on the list for decades”, had been relentlessly “lying to reporters to try to vault himself higher on the list”.</p>

<h2><strong>Truth Social</strong></h2>

<p>The biggest reason for Trump’s exit from the list has been attributed to his Truth Social, the social media platform launched after he was banned from Twitter (before it was rechristened to X) in the wake of the Capitol riots.</p>

<p>So far, Trump’s social media platform has been able to attract only 6.5 million users, about 1 per cent of X.</p>

<p>The former president’s 90 per cent stake in Truth Social’s parent company has plummeted in value from an estimated $730 million to less than $100 million, Forbes noted.</p>

<p>"If Trump's platform were thriving, he would probably have no trouble finding alternate financing. But it's not, and there is little reason to be optimistic about Truth Social's future," Forbes noted.</p>

<h2><strong>Trump’s real estate worth</strong></h2>

<p>Forbes has also noted that apart from Truth Social, Trump’s office buildings have also declined in value by $170 million.</p>

<p>Among those is the San Francisco property, 555 California Street, 30 per cent of which is owned by Trump, the magazine said.</p>

<p>Leases that generate about half the building's rent are coming up for renewal, but the building is located in a "struggling" area of San Francisco.</p>

<p>Neighbouring buildings have sold for less than the building cost in 2005, which indicates that 555 California is worth less than it used to be.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Friday (Sep 29) stated that Ottawa's attitude towards terrorists, extremist people, who openly advocate violence, was 'very permissive' after Trudeau sparked a row accusing India of its involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.</p>

<p>"This has been an issue of great friction for many years with Canada. But in the last few years, it has come back very much into play because of what we consider to be a very permissive Canadian attitude towards terrorists, and extremist people who openly advocate violence. And they have been given operating space in Canada because of the compulsions of Canadian politics," he said.</p>

<p>Jaishankar stated that the Indian diplomats do not feel safe going to the embassy because of the current situation prevailing in the country.</p>

<p>He said, "...For us, it has certainly been a country where, organized crime from India, mixed with trafficking in people, mixed with secessionism, violence, terrorism-- it's a very toxic combination of issues and people, who have found operating space there."</p>

<p>"Today, I'm actually in a situation where my diplomats are unsafe going to the embassy, or to the consulate in Canada. They are publicly intimidated. And that has actually compelled me to temporarily suspend even visa operations in Canada," he added.</p>

<p>India has outrightly rejected the claims of involvement in Nijjar's murder, calling them&nbsp;‘absurd’ and ‘motivated’.</p>

<p>According to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the lawsuit, filed in a California federal court, claims that from 2015 to the present, Black workers at the Tesla plant have regularly endured racist slurs and offensive graffiti, including Nazi symbols and nooses.</p>

Dressed in a black T-shirt, black cowboy hat, and aviator-style sunglasses, Musk visited the Eagle Pass, where throngs of migrants have for several days been wading across the Rio Grande near a railroad bridge near the city.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Musk described his visit as an "unfiltered" view of the situation.</p>

<p>"So, you know, I think we want to, I think we want to do both things; smooth out legal immigration and then stop, you know, sort of a flow, a flow of people that is of such magnitude that is actually leading to a collapse of social services where even America's largest city, New York, is buckling under the pressure of just how many illegal immigrants are going to New York. If New York can’t handle it, well, pretty much no part of the country can," Musk said.</p>

<p>Musk, who is a native of South Africa, noted his status as an "immigrant to the United States" and called himself "extremely pro-immigrant."
