Ugandan police spokesman Fred Enanga said bomb specialists were sent to Lungala following a deadly explosion in a bus belonging to the firm Swift Safaris around 5 pm (1400 GMT).&nbsp;

"Two people have died and several were injured when an explosion went off in one of our buses from Kampala to western&nbsp;Uganda&nbsp;this evening," Enanga said in a statement.

He added that wounded people were being evacuated from the area.&nbsp;

The initial toll was confirmed by a manager of Swift Safaris.

Lungala is about 35 kilometres (22 miles) west of Kampala, on one of the country's busiest roads, linking&nbsp;Uganda&nbsp;with Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to the Met department there will be isolated heavy rain in parts of the state over the next 24 hours starting October 17.

The India Meterological Department today said that the low-pressure area over southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Kerala has become less marked and there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at many places with only isolated heavy rainfall over the state during next 24 hours and further decrease thereafter.

On Saturday, four people were killed in Kottayam district while two casualties have been reported in Idukki district.

One child has died in flash flooding while flights and schools have been suspended as tropical Cyclone Shaheen bears down on Oman, authorities said Sunday.

"I've experienced&nbsp;three&nbsp;floods like this so far, but this is the worst," said Toshimi Kusumoto, a 68-year-old doctor whose clinic was flooded.

Kusumoto waited out the rain with his family on the second floor of his house, he said, located just behind the clinic.

The water reached his house, too, meaning most of the appliances on the ground floor would have to be replaced. His garage was bent out of shape, presumably from the pressure of the water.

His son Daigo said their family was prepared for the flooding but was concerned over the frequency at which&nbsp;torrential&nbsp;downpours were pummelling the area, and was considering re-building his house to raise the ground level.

He had re-built the house only four years ago and it had seen two floods already.

"It's a bit much if it happens this frequently," Daigo said, as he hosed down the mud in front of the house.

In 2019, Takeo city was hit by a record downpour that killed&nbsp;three&nbsp;people. The government at the time estimated that such a deluge would only happen once every few decades.

"But what can you do?" said Toshimi, with a slight shrug.

Takayuki Haraguchi, 68, who works as a caretaker at a local sports centre, had come to survey the damage briefly when it was raining on Saturday.

"It looked no different from the sea," he said as he recalled what he saw on Saturday morning.

Hitomi Fuchino, 41, evacuated on a boat to a local middle school in Takeo city on Saturday morning&nbsp;after&nbsp;her house and second-hand clothes shop were immersed in water.

Her children lounged on a makeshift cardboard bed at the evacuation centre, while a pair of shorts were hung to dry in front of a fan.

Fuchino was not sure when she would return to her house given that more rain was being forecast.

"We can't really move at this point," she said wearily.

Elsewhere in Saga, 113 patients at a local hospital and 69 nursing home residents at the same site were evacuated to higher floors&nbsp;after&nbsp;flooding, public broadcaster NHK said. On Saturday, rescue workers in the prefecture had airlifted four residents using a helicopter in areas where the flooding was intense.

Usual bureaucratic procedures kicked in, Jimenez was put in a body bag and kept in cold storage of the mortuary. His body was marked with scalpel marks to carry out the autopsy.

It was in the mortuary that physicians realised something was terrbly wrong. They heard sound of snoring.

By this time, Jimenez had spent time in the cold storage and inside the body bag. But he was miraculously not dead.

Five building workers were confirmed dead&nbsp;Saturday a day after a school construction site partially collapsed in the Belgian city of&nbsp;Antwerp.

The last two bodies were pulled out the rubble on Saturday afternoon,&nbsp;Antwerp's fire department said, meaning that all the missing victims were now accounted for.

On Saturday, forest officials reached the spot after getting information about the carcass. They did not find any illegal activity there, the official said.&nbsp;

The tigress seems to have died of natural causes, he said.&nbsp;

After the autopsy, the carcass was disposed of as per guidelines of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), he added.&nbsp;

Earlier, the decomposed carcass of a tiger was found in a buffer zone of the Bandhavgarh reserve in MP on Friday.&nbsp;

On May 8, a tiger was found dead in the state's Kanha Tiger Reserve.&nbsp;

Besides, a dead sub-adult tiger (aged between 18 and 24 months) was found floating in a canal of an inter-state water project in Balaghat's Waraseoni tehsil on May 7, officials said.&nbsp;

Fleetwood Mac guitarist and co-founder of the influential rock group Peter Green has died at age 73, the Associated Press reported on Saturday, citing a statement from Green’s lawyers.

The law firm Swan Turton said in a statement that Green had died in his sleep this weekend, AP reported. The firm did not immediately return Reuters’ request for comment.
