Seems like our very owb Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff is a fan of Korean pop band BTS. He was recently seen dancing on BTS’ hit single ‘Dynamite’ that has broken records for all the right reasons -- it’s their first English single and a fun one too!

Tiger was seen dancing to Dynamite as he shared the video and wrote, “Anyone else in love with bts’ new single! #dynamite @bts_bighit. bighitofficial @BTS_twt.”

Members of hugely popular South Korean K-Pop band BTS are expected to become multimillionaire shareholders after receiving shares in their label, Big Hit Entertainment, as it prepares an initial public offering (IPO) that could raise up to 962.6 billion won ($811 million).

This week, BTS scored Korea`s first-ever no 1 spot on the main US Billboard music chart with breezy disco hit 'Dynamite'. Their first all-English language single hit the spot for mainstream U.S. pop fans, with a Youtube video garnering more than 284 million views already.

Big Hit CEO and largest shareholder Bang Si-hyuk last month gave 478,695 common shares to the seven BTS members, or 68,385 per each, "to strengthen long-term partnership with major artists and boost morale", Big Hit said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

Each BTS member would get 9.23 billion won of shares, or 64.6 billion won altogether, if the IPO is priced at the top of its range in October.

The stock gift may be interpreted as an attempt to bind the BTS members and the label more closely together, said Kim Hyun-yong, analyst at eBEST Investment & Securities.

Big Hit plans to offer about 7.1 million shares at an indicative price range of 105,000-135,000 won per share.
The pricing potentially values the company at up to 4.8 trillion won ($4.04 billion), considering convertible preferred stocks plus common shares, analysts said.

"The stock could perform well upon listing, as there`s a lot of liquidity in the market now... Then it depends on Big Hit`s results, but the lack of physical concerts due to COVID-19 will likely have negative impact," said Nam Hyo-ji, analyst at KTB Investment and Securities.

Big Hit relies heavily on BTS, with some 87.7% and 97.4% of its revenue in the first half of 2020 and 2019 respectively coming from the group, the filing said.

With BTS members expected to enter mandatory military service for South Korean men in coming years, the label has worked to address market concerns that it needs to diversify its revenue streams.

"There is the military issue, but if there is no legal exemption, Big Hit is expected to either set up units with the remaining members or pursue solo acts while they serve in the military," said Kim Hyun-yong.

Popular K-pop group BTS is known for its Korean hits. The band though are stepping out of their comfort zone to release a new single in English for their fans, who like to call themselves ARMY.

The popular boy band shared the news on V LIVE, a Korean live stream broadcasting app, saying that they "wanted to share some positive energy" amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The song will get a digital release in August, the band revealed.

"We have prepared a new single for ARMY, set for August 21. We are preparing an album for the second half of this year, but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible.

"Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans," the group said in the statement.

The seven-piece boy band comprising of Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, J-Hope, V and Jimin, is also planning to release a new album later this year.

This is not the first time that BTS has sung an English song. The musicians have previously released English-language songs 'MIC Drop' and 'Waste It On Me,' with Steve Aoki. Yet the band has stated that the recording in their non-native tongue was 'a new challenge'.

"We thought that the song sounded perfect as it is in English. We recorded the guide version and felt that the result was something totally new and fresh. We also needed a breakthrough during these unforeseen times. This is a new challenge for us as well," they added.

The news comes days after it was announced that BTS would be among the artists performing for the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Fest, which is set to air September 27.

Fans of the popular South Korean boy band BTS matched its $1 million donation to Black Lives Matter (BLM) in support of U.S. protests against police brutality, an organisation that runs fundraisers for the fans said on Monday.

The K-pop group`s music label, Big Hit Entertainment, on Sunday told Reuters that BTS had donated $1 million to BLM in early June.

The seven-member BTS wrote on its Twitter account on Thursday that they are against racism and violence with the hashtag BlackLivesMatter.

"We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together."

The hashtag went viral among the group`s fans and started another wave of donations with the hashtag MatchAMillion.
The movement encouraged BTS` fan base, known as ARMY, an acronym for Adorable Representative MC for Youth, to match the group`s $1 million donation.

On Monday, One In An ARMY (OIAA), a group that runs donation campaigns in the name of the BTS fan base, in a statement said the live donation total surpassed $817,000 within 24 hours after BTS` donation was reported.
"We`re so proud that ARMY have once again channelled their power for good and are making a real impact in the fight against anti-black racism," OIAA said.

"We stand in solidarity with black ARMY. They`re an important part of our family. And we stand with black people everywhere. Your voices deserve to be heard."

The campaign had raised $1,007,518 as of Monday at 9:47 a.m. (0047 GMT), and will continue indefinitely, the organisers said.

The protests reflect anger over police treatment of ethnic minorities, sparked by the May 25 killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis by a white officer.

The manager of South Korea`s popular boyband BTS has issued an apology on behalf of one of its members who went to a bar in April flouting the government's advice of stepping out due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

The country is trying to contain a recent coronavirus outbreak around Seoul`s club scene.

Jungkook, the BTS` main vocalist, visited a restaurant and a bar in the Itaewon neighbourhood with friends on April 25, the boyband`s management Big Hit Entertainment said on Monday.

A new cluster of virus cases emerged in that neighbourhood this month as social distancing measures eased on May 6, prompting authorities to delay school reopening and close bars and clubs again.

"We have no excuse that we placed the artist`s personal life before we were able to emphasize the importance of social distancing. We bow our head in apology," the company said.

The 22-year old, who was there before the first case among Itaewon clubgoers was confirmed, is not showing any symptoms and has tested negative for the coronavirus.

"He is also deeply regretting on how he did not follow social distancing measures seriously."

South Korea has been lauded for its quick and effective response to the pandemic but the resurgence of cases has raised concerns about the second wave of infections.

Before the rules were eased on May 6, authorities had allowed clubs and bars to stay open as long as they complied with strict social distancing measures, while advising people not to visit them.

Local media reported three other boy band members were with Jungkook during that outing, including Cha Eun-woo of Astro, Mingyu of Seventeen and Jaehyun of NCT.

The managers of all three issued statements confirming they were in Itaewon on the same day as Jungkook, apologising for their failure to follow social distancing measures. Jaehyun posted a handwritten apology on social media.

BTS’ new album ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ might not be staying put at the Billboard 200 list, it is surely making money off the sales. The album is now on this week’s Top Album Sales chart but it’s making a profit.

The album is currently the bestselling album in the US that isn’t a debut.

Map of the Soul: 7 lands at No. 7 this time around. The album sold another 8,500 copies during the past tracking frame, inflating the title’s total sales count to over 460,000 copies, an impressive sum for any release in 2020.

Leading the way is The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’, which outsells every other album in the country this week by an enormous margin. The Canadian favorite’s latest actually sold 275,000 copies as it first appears, and that figure should swell to over 300,000 after its second full frame of availability.

In between The Weeknd and BTS are Conan Gray’s ‘Kid Krow’, Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘Kelsea’, 5 Seconds of Summer’s ‘Calm’, Kenny Rogers’ ‘The Best Of Kenny Rogers: Through The Years’ and the Grateful Dead’s ‘June 1976’.
