An extremely rare, well-preserved dinosaur skeleton will be sold at an auction in Paris next month.&nbsp;The reptile, dated to be 150 million-year-old is a camptosaurus,&nbsp;going by the nickname 'Barry'.&nbsp;

Barry, standing tall at 2.1 metres and five&nbsp;metres wide, was first discovered in&nbsp;Wyoming in the 1990s. It was initially restored in 2000 by palaeontologist Barry James, from whom it got its name.&nbsp;

Currently, Barry is with the Italian laboratory Zoic which acquired the precious skeleton last year and has done additional restoration work on the body.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Alexandre Giquello, representative of the Paris auction house Drouot, where the sale will take place, said Barry "is an extremely well-preserved specimen, which is quite rare".&nbsp;

"The skull is complete at 90 per cent&nbsp;and the rest of the dinosaur is complete at 80 per cent," he said.&nbsp;

According to the auction house, the skeleton, which will be presented to the public in mid-October, is currently valued above $1.28 million. Experts, however, believe that the figure is rather conservative and it may go up as the auction date (October 20) approaches.&nbsp;

Trinity had been composed using the bone material of three T-Rex specimens. They were excavated between 2008-2013 in the US states of Montana and Wyoming. The Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations in the respective states are well-known for the discoveries of two other T-Rex skeletons that have gone under the hammer.&nbsp;

The sale was rare as only 32 skeletons of adult T-Rex&nbsp;- one of the largest apex predators to have ever lived - have been discovered worldwide.&nbsp;

Sotheby's said that Marie-Therese Walter (1909-1977), Picasso's "golden muse" depicted in the painting, is featured in "many of his most accomplished portraits."&nbsp;

Picasso was still married to Russian-Ukrainian ballet dancer Olga Khokhlova when he met Walter in Paris in the year 1927. At the time, Walter was 17.

The duo's daughter passed away last year.

Walter was also featured in "Femme assise pres d'une fenetre (Marie-Therese)". The artwork was sold in 2021 for USD 103.4 million by Christie's auction house.

Picasso is&nbsp;one of the most influential artists of the modern world. He is often hailed as a dynamic and creative genius. He passed away at the age of 91 in the year 1973.

Picasso masterpiece depicting his mistress to fetch $120 million: Sotheby's

The baby grand piano Queen frontman Freddie Mercury used to compose almost all of his greatest songs and the original manuscript for "Bohemian Rhapsody" were snapped up Wednesday at auction in London.&nbsp;

The Yamaha quarter-tail piano went for £1,742,000 ($2,198,927), including buyer's premium and fees, while the manuscript for the hit song &nbsp;"Bohemian Rhapsody" fetched £1,379,000 ($1,740,712).

The items were among over 1,400 lots of Mercury memorabilia up for grabs at Sotheby’s, with the famous auction house's facade decorated with a huge moustache for the occasion.&nbsp;

Auctioneer Oliver Barker called the "Bohemian Rhapsody" lyrics -- contained in 15-pages of pencil and ballpoint pen remarks -- a "modern cultural icon".

The manuscript also reveals that the title was originally going to be "Mongolian Rhapsody".

Barker said Mercury's cherished baby grand was purchased by the charismatic star in 1975 after an exhaustive six-month search for "the ideal instrument to bring to life" his compositions.

A record 2,000 bidders from 61 countries registered to take part in the sale.

Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust and the Elton John Aids Foundation, two organisations involved in the fight against AIDS.&nbsp;

In a message read out by Barker before the auction began, John paid tribute to his friend.

"I miss Freddie to this day. He was a wonderful friend more full of love and life than anyone I've ever met, as well as a brilliant performer whose music has inspired and thrilled millions," he said.

"He was kind, generous and funny and it is a tragedy that AIDS took him from the world much too soon," he added.

<h2>Graffiti tributes&nbsp;</h2>

The auction kicked off with the green door of Mercury's garden on which fans scrawled tributes.

The door to his Garden Lodge home in west London sold for £412,750 far in excess of the £15,000-25,000 estimate.

Other items being sold off at the auction include furniture, paintings and knick-knacks.

Wednesday's "evening sale" will be followed by two other live auctions and three online sales over the next week.

Paintings by Chagall, Dali and Picasso that adorned Mercury's home, as well as the last painting he bought a month before his death from AIDS in 1991 &nbsp;-- an oil on canvas by James Jacques Joseph Tissot -- feature in the sale.

The entire collection is being offered for sale by Mary Austin, a close friend and one-time fiancee of Mercury's.

"Mary Austin has lived with the collection and has cared for the collection for more than three decades," Gabriel Heaton, a books and manuscripts specialist at Sotheby's, told AFP.

Mercury "was not interested in having a museum of his life but he loved auctions", to the point of being a regular at Sotheby's sales, said Heaton.

Austin believes the artist -- who was 45 when he died -- would have "loved" this sale, he added.

<h2>Moustache comb&nbsp;</h2>

Mercury's most flamboyant stage costumes, Hawaiian shirt and Superman tank top will also find new homes along with his personal polaroids and legendary snapper Mick Rock's shots.

Also included are the finest bottles from his cellar, such as Dom Perignon champagne, alongside more intimate items, such as a book of personally annotated poetry and a moustache comb.

Among the more playful items are a set of games including travel Scrabble, at which Mercury excelled.

Before the sale, the auction house hosted the collection at a month-long exhibition, open to the public free of charge.&nbsp;

Sotheby's estimated when the auction was announced in April that the lots would fetch at least £6 million.&nbsp;

The auction house says it is the largest collection, by volume, of a cultural icon to go to auction since the Elton John sale in 1988, when 2,000 lots sold for a total of £4.8 million.

"Smaller than a grain of sea salt and narrow enough to pass through the eye of a needle, this is a purse so small you'll need a microscope to see it," the company said in the description of the bag.

"There are big handbags, normal handbags, and small handbags, but this is the final word in bag miniaturization. As a once-functional object like a handbag becomes smaller and smaller its object status becomes steadily more abstracted until it is purely a brand signifier."

In an interview, MSCHF CCO Kevin Wiesner said, “Pharrell loves big hats, so we made him an incredibly small bag.”

He added that the bag is a "funny object" because it&nbsp;derives from something rigorously functional but it has "basically become jewellery".&nbsp;

"Estrela de FURA 55.22", the largest and most valuable ruby to ever appear at auction, was sold for a whopping $34.8 million, setting a new record at Sotheby's New York on Monday (June 8). "Estrela de Fura 55.22" means Star of Fura in Portuguese.&nbsp;

The incredible gemstone was offered at a starting price of $21 million, and it was sold for $30 million plus fees and commissions to an anonymous telephone buyer.&nbsp;

The stunning gemstone was cut from a 101-carat rough stone discovered in July last year at the Montepeuz ruby mine in Mozambique, which is operated by the Fura Gems company.&nbsp;

The official website of Sotheby's shared details about FURA Gems, a company which started its journey in Mozambique in 2017 and currently holds nine ruby mining licenses in the country.&nbsp;

Miners in Montepuez discovered the remarkable ruby last year, which was transparent and stunningly vivid rough. It weighed a staggering 101 carats. It was dubbed "Estrela de FURA" (or Star of FURA in Portuguese).&nbsp;

The Estrela de FURA was unveiled in Dubai in September 2022 and grabbed worldwide attention as the largest gem-quality ruby ever discovered.&nbsp;

As quoted by the news agency Reuters, Uni Kim, who is a jewellery specialist at Sotheby's Hong Kong, said, "It is from Mozambique, which is also one of the new and more popular origins that we see for rubies, apart from the more traditional and the classic Burmese pieces."&nbsp;

"It is one of the biggest and largest gem-quality ruby that we have ever seen. The colour and the saturation, the clarity together with you know everything that comes together with the ruby, it's just a very fantastic and beautiful piece (sic)," Kim said.&nbsp;

Previously, the world record for a ruby sold at auction was set in May 2015 by a 25.59-carat Burmese stone called "Sunrise Ruby". It had fetched $30.3 million at Sotheby's in Geneva.&nbsp;

The sales pitch which speaks about uninoculated men's sperms being in high demand and hence, will fetch dollars, comes from a widely debunked conspiracy theory that mass infertility is caused by Covid-19 jabs.

Chinese tycoon Guo Wengui, who is exiled in the United States and was arrested recently for alleged fraud, has placed the sales pitch to test along with the much-hyped auction which will take place in June on the online platform Gettr.

"We will auction off the best sperm and eggs, including of course my own sperm," he stated, adding that they will allow trading in digital currencies and will keep it open to all ethnicities and races.

It is still unclear if the auction will go ahead following Guo's arrest earlier this month, who is facing federal charges of defrauding thousands of followers online by some $1 billion.

However, his planned sale has created a buzz on Gettr, where the supporters of the tycoon are calling it a "new era for humanity".

"Giving unvaccinated sperms or eggs not only is an honourable way to gain wealth but also will save the future of humanity," stated a Gettr post endorsing Guo.

The renowned Flatiron Building in New York, known for its slender, triangular shape, has been sold at an&nbsp;auction for $190 million, following&nbsp;a court order.&nbsp;

After an open tender war, the 1902-built, 22-story skyscraper that is rumoured to resemble a clothes iron sold for almost four times its opening price of $50 million, reported AFP.

"It's been my lifelong dream of mine since I'm 14 years old," winner Jacob Garlick, managing partner at the Abraham Trust investment fund, told TV station NY 1.

The broadcaster noted that Garlick has not yet revealed his plans for the historically significant structure.&nbsp;

The wealthy Conservative donors were asked by United Kingdom's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to fund an “80:20” campaign before the next election in an event when where Tory fundraisers managed to sell the prime minister's Swarovski crystal-encrusted portrait at auction for £25,000.

While addressing the guests at the event, Sunak thanked everyone present in the room for all “your support of our fantastic party” at the Savoy hotel in London. One person who attended the event said that they were provided forms which asked them to make a donation for the “80:20” campaign ahead of the next election, as the party plans to defend 80 seats and clinch victory on another 20.

The form had a series of amounts listed with tick boxes along their side up to £10,000, where donors had the liberty to fill in the amount they are willing to donate as well as provide their details. The form also carried a message from Sunak.

The event was attended by billionaire businessman Mohamed Mansour, who is currently the senior treasurer of the party and was a former minister under the regime of Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak. The party has received a donation of more than £600,000 from Mansour’s company Unatrac. Former treasurer and a donor, Howard Leigh, is believed to have compered in the event.

A Hebrew Bible that is more than 1,000 years old will be up for auction in New York and might be sold for up to $50 million, according to Sotheby's,&nbsp;one of the world's largest brokers of fine and decorative art, jewellery, and collectibles, situated in New York.&nbsp;The earliest and most complete Hebrew Bible ever found is the Codex Sassoon, which dates back to the late ninth and early tenth century. When Sotheby's auctions it off in May, it will break the record for the most expensive historical document or text ever sold.&nbsp;

"(It) is undeniably one of the most important and singular texts in human history," said Richard Austin, Sotheby's global head of books and manuscripts who spoke to AFP.&nbsp;

Codex Sassoon is&nbsp;one of the only two codices, or manuscripts, that have made it into the present day and contains all 24 books of the Hebrew Bible.&nbsp;

It is significantly older than the Leningrad Codex and substantially more complete than the Aleppo Codex, two other well-known early Hebrew Bibles, according to Sotheby's.
