<p>Directed by Mudassir Mashalkar, 'Justaju'&nbsp;chronicles a day in the life of Valmiki, whose wife expired 15 years ago.</p>

<p>Jha, who made his acting debut with his 2016 directorial venture 'Jai Gangaajal', says he is happy with the different kind of roles being offered to him.</p>

<p>"I was really surprised they thought of me as I am nothing like Valmiki but he (director) was quite convinced. I thought it would be a great learning experience, trying to find that character so it was fun."</p>

<p>Jha says the director in him does not interfere with his acting process.</p>

<p>"As an actor, I do discuss things with my director. I follow my director's vision. But I never interfere," he adds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though he loves exploring the actor side of him, he equally enjoys directing films, which, the filmmaker says, is an "exhilarating" experience for him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Even if I am behind the camera, writing a script or shooting in front of thousands of people, it has always been enjoyable. It has been exhilarating and extremely enriching, learning process," Jha adds.</p>

<p>Actor Kareena Kapoor believes the secret to her longevity in the film industry is striking a balance between commercial and alternative cinema.</p>

<p>Kareena says that one should never get stuck to any one genre as that gets boring and there is the added risk of getting typecast. Her aim is to cater to all sorts of audience.</p>

<p>"I am always proud of my glamorous image. One has to enjoy some commercial success. If I have done an 'Udta Punjab', then I have also done the 'Golmaal' series. I have always tried to balance things out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"To sustain in the film industry for 18 years one has to keep doing exciting work. I do films that suit my personality, my time limit. I do films that I like," Kareena told PTI.</p>

<p>The actor says she has been a risk-taker right from the beginning of her career despite being a commercial heroine.</p>

<p>"When I was 22-year-old, I did 'Chameli' and people thought I would not do it. For me, it is all about having the right balance of things - commercial and being part of different kind of movies."</p>

<p>Citing the example films such as 'Udta Punjab', 'Ki and Ka', 'Chameli'&nbsp;and 'Omkara', Kareena insists that she has always picked up stories that "no mainstream commercial heroine" would do.</p>

<p>"I just see - is this film entertaining, is the script good? Can I see myself in it and do I have a good part? When all these things fall into place I tick a film and I am on board."</p>

<p>For her, there is a difference between being an actor and a star and she says she has always looked at herself first as an actor and then as a star.</p>

<p>"I don't think anyone joins the industry thinking, 'I want to become a star'. You join it because you like acting, you like movies, you are passionate about cinema. I enjoy acting and people like me, my work and that is why I am a star."&nbsp;</p>

<p>She also credits a loyal fan-base for standing by her in her successes and failures.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I have a loyal fan following and I feel lucky to be one of those few actors to have the support of fans. I am a fan-built star as I have had successes and failures and nothing has deterred my fans. My fans have stood by me every time."</p>

<p>"It is interesting when directors write roles for you, but maybe I can't do all kind of roles. Now I look at how much time a film would take. I have a limited amount of time because I have to give a lot of time to family and my son. So I will do one film a year because now I can't do three films."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Her next release is 'Veere Di Wedding', a story about four female friends played by- Kareena, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, and their trials and tribulations in the society.</p>

<p>"It is a fun film and people are talking about women empowerment and feminism. The story is about four girls. The director came up with this concept. So what is wrong (in that) as there was a 'Dil Chahta Hai' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. This story is from the female point of view...That's it!," Kareena says.</p>

<p>The four protagonists in the film use cuss words but Kareena says she fails to understand why there is so much focus on that.</p>

<p>"Saif Ali Khan was the villain in 'Omkara' and he was bad mouthing. He won a lot of awards for the film. It is required in the film, so it is there. Nobody is doing it just for the sake of it.</p>

<p>"This film's language and the platform is different. The audience we are catering to is also different. We are not forcingly saying anything, the tonality is such."</p>

<p>His box office credentials are unmatched today but Aamir Khan says despite facing initial scepticism of the industry people, he has always been someone who believed in experimenting with film roles.</p>

<p>The actor, who has completed 30 years in Bollywood, walked down the memory lane to reflect on the film choices that set him apart from the crowd and made him feel like a 'lone ranger'.</p>

<p>"When I came into the industry, I was a minority, I was a lone ranger, who was trying to do films that I believed in, but the market did not believe in it and a host of people also did not believe in it," Aamir said in a group interview.</p>

<p>With hits such as "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak", "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander", "Baazi", "Earth", "Sarfarosh", "Lagaan" and "Dangal", Aamir has come to be known as one of the most bankable stars in cinema today but the actor said it has not been an easy ride to stardom.</p>

<p>"I was constantly swimming against the tide to do the films I believed in. Now the tide has changed. So the films that I believed in then and no one else did, have actually become more mainstream today."</p>

<p>Aamir, 53, believes the audiences' sensibilities are changing and if "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander" would have released today, it had better chances at the ticket window.</p>

<p>Asked if he thinks the risk has paid off now, he said, "I don't know if I can say that, I was not doing it for a pay-off, I was just doing it. I was not concerned if it will pay-off or not, my focus was to do films that I believed in. When I do a film like 'Talaash', I know it is not going to be the biggest hit of the year but I want to do it."</p>

<p>The actor has bridged the gap between commercial and content-driven cinema but insisted he is not searching for social content in a film.</p>

<p>"I am not setting out for what the next social issue. I have had a mixed range of films like ''Delhi Belly'', ''Thugs of Hindostan'', ''Dangal'', etc, I am getting drawn to stories which I like."&nbsp;</p>

<p>The actor said he reacts to a script like an audience member.</p>

<p>"It has to be something that excites me, engages me, sometimes it might have a message, sometimes it might not. I don't think whether it is commercial or not. I am not able to think like that. I feel my cinema should be good and I want it to be loved by as many people."</p>

<p>He became a star overnight with success of his debut film as the lead actor in "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" in 1988 and realised he had become famous when he could no longer use the public transport. In 1973, Aamir appeared as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film "Yaadon Ki Baaraat".</p>

<p>"The first time I sensed I had become popular was after ''Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak''. It was quite mad. I did a successful film, but I didn't have the money to buy a car. I used to travel by autorickshaw, bus or a train but after a point, I couldn't," he said.</p>

<p>"I used to ask my uncle, 'Can I borrow your car? I have to go somewhere... There are just people everywhere I go'," he added.</p>

<p>"You sort of are detached from that. You try to look if you're doing the right job... But then you're just trying to survive and make yourself energetic for the next one.</p>

<p>"It's a constant battle to get the next good shot and the next good performance. So you're not really thinking that - but you know through doing the best job you can, you're also giving the fans the best scene they can have," Suotamo told Collider.</p>

<p>The actor said despite a rough start to the scene, it went on to become his "most memorable moment" in the film.</p>

<p>"I will never forget that. And it's not a completely positive thing, because it was a lot of being soaked, and... I don't know if this is spoiling it for anyone, but let's just say it was a memorable scene and I'm glad we did it first," he said.</p>

<p>The story is based on the life of the Indo-Pakistani author, Saddat Hassan Manto in the post-independence period.</p>

<p>Rasika plays the role of Manto’s wife, Safia and the film premiered to a packed audience at Cannes who lauded the lead pair's performance.</p>

<p>Nandita’s pet project also stars Rajshri Deshpande as the celebrated author, Ismat Chugtai and the movie has&nbsp;guest appearances of several actors including Shabana Azmi, Purab Kohli, and Chandan Roy Sanyal.</p>

<p>Rasika, who had to do a great deal of preparation for her role as the noted author’s wife, recently revealed that she did not require any prosthetics or makeup to look like Safia.</p>

<p>The stylists made sure that the clothes and hairstyle from that era would be enough to give viewers an authentic replication of a real-life person, in a respectful manner. Interestingly the results of her look are more than uncanny as when compared to images of the real-life Safia.</p>

<p>All this was managed to be achieved without any use of heavy makeup or prosthetics. It’s a usual practice in several real-life stories and biopics for makers to resort to the art of makeup to make the actors come as close as possible to looking their real people.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking about the process, Rasika said "Srikant and his team did a fabulous job of designing the look of the characters. On most days I shot with no makeup.&nbsp;The team just found ways to tweak small things to show a change in the look over the years, since the story of the film is over six years and Manto and Safia go through a lot in those years.&nbsp;They are the tiniest of changes but, in my opinion, make a strong impact and affect the look of the character. And also really helped enhance the performance.&nbsp;We really didn't use any makeup or prosthetics. But the smallest of details were looked into by Nandita."&nbsp;<br />

<p>He was 81.</p>

<p>Adhikari, known for his cameo in Rajkumar Hirani's "Lage Raho Munna Bhai" (2006), was suffering from a lung infection for the last one-and-a-half years.</p>

<p>He acted in Sai Paranjpe's "Katha" and Marathi films like "Dhyaas Parya" and "Harishchandrachi Factory".</p>

<p>His last rites were performed last night, the sources said.</p>

<p>The actor is survived by wife, two daughters and a son.</p>

The story picks up after the events of Chapter 2, which sees Wick, a former assassin who tried and failed to live the quiet life, with a USD 14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. After killing a member of the shadowy international assassin's guild, the High Table, Wick is excommunication, but the world's most ruthless hitmen and women await his every turn. The film will be released by Lionsgate's Summit Entertainment label on May 17, 2019.

<p>A New York-based photographer has accused Hollywood actor Aziz Ansari of sexual misconduct after they went on a date last year, reports said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 23-year-old women claimed that it was a &quot;violating night and a painful one&quot; after the <em>Master of None </em>actor continuously pressured her into having sex.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She further stated that the actor ignored her verbal and non-verbal hints and was in hurry all through dinner to get her someplace else.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a long post on the website Babe, the photographer recounts the disastrous date she went on with the comedian. Titled &#39;I went on a date with Aziz Ansari. It turned into the worst night of my life&#39;&nbsp;the post states that how Ansari took the woman out in New York earlier this year and then he rushed her out of the restaurant after they had finished their meal and took her back to his New York apartment.</p>

<p>The woman then recalls that the comedian coerced her into sexual acts which she was not comfortable with. &quot;I said something like, &lsquo;Whoa, let&rsquo;s relax for a sec, let&rsquo;s chill,&rsquo;&rdquo; she says in the article.<br />

<p>After excusing herself to go to the bathroom, she returned and told him that she &ldquo;didn&rsquo;t want to feel forced&rdquo;. However, he resumed his persistence after they began to watch TV.<br />

<p>Succumbing to illness, Vora had been in the state of coma for last one year.</p>

<p>Producer friend Firoz Nadiadwala announced the death of his &#39;brother and friend&#39; --whom he had known for 12 years. In a statement, Nadiadwala said,&nbsp;&quot;He passed away at 4 am on Thursday. I&#39;ve lost the battle to save my brother and friend from the clutches of death. His health had improved so much. But it deteriorated suddenly on Friday.&quot;</p>

<p>He added, &quot;&quot;He had to be shifted to hospital. But it was no use. We lost him.&quot;</p>

<p>When Vora had been in coma for the previous year, Nadiadwala took care of all his medical expenses. As disclosed by Nadiadwala himself, Vora occupied a special room in former&#39;s&nbsp;bungalow where the ailing writer-director was attended to by a fleet of medical experts, nurses, dieticians and well-wishers.</p>

<p>Nadiadwala&nbsp;said: &quot;It was one year on October 19 since I got Neeraj to my home in Mumbai from AIIMS in Delhi where the doctors had declared he would be dead in a few hours.</p>

<p>&quot;Quite frankly, I don`t know what powers made me do what I did. I couldn`t leave him to die. He had nobody to look after him. Neeraj did have a brother. But he was financially incapable of shouldering the responsibility, he added.</p>

<p>Staying on Vora&#39;s side while he fought with illness, Nadiadwala revealed, &quot;As I said, the doctors at AIIMS had given up on him. I don`t know what got into me. I immediately hired an air ambulance to bring Neeraj from Delhi to Mumbai. &quot;I have to confess my heart was in my mouth. If Neeraj had passed away during that journey from Delhi to Mumbai, or even after landing, I would have been in serious legal and moral trouble.&quot;</p>

<p>&quot;Luckily, God was on my side. He willed that Neeraj live and I be the tool to save his life. I sincerely believe we are all instruments of God brought on earth to do His will,&quot; he added.</p>
