<p>Rajesh, Thalapathy Vijay's doppelganger lives in Palakkad, Kerala and recently came to limelight in Tamil Nadu, where he campaigned for Vijay's up and coming political venture - Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (VMI).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rajesh was in Madurai this week to campaign for a few candidates of the VMI, who are contesting in the urban local body polls in Tamil Nadu. WION spoke to the mirror image of Vijay, who is very much in demand after his maiden public appearance in Tamil Nadu.</p>

<p>Growing up in Kerala as a Vijay fan, Rajesh often looked at the mirror to see if he resembled the star.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sometimes he felt he did, sometimes he felt he didn’t… but, that didn’t take away his admiration for the actor and his style. Rajesh had always been the kind of fan that erects cut-outs for his star, ahead of the film release. However, it was amid the pandemic that there was a twist in this tale.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With just a little tweaking of the hairstyle and beard, one couldn’t tell the difference between the then 32-year-old Rajesh and the 46-year-old cinema star.</p>

All it takes is a few minutes of hair and beard styling paired with the right attire. He needs no make-up at all" said Rajesh's friend, Pradeep, who is also a Vijay fan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Already quite a popular person on Instagram, Rajesh and his friend couldn't believe the rousing reception they received in Madurai, fans and public surrounded Rajesh for selfies. There was a crowd wherever they went campaigning and even ladies came forward to express their grievances.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apparently, the two bouncers escorting the doppelganger weren't able to handle the crowd.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Using doppelgangers of popular actors and political leaders is a common sight during elections in Tamil Nadu, especially in places like Madurai, where such gigs offer a reasonable daily wage for artists. However, Rajesh is firm that he won't use this special gift of his, for making money, by posing in front of the public.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This time around, the fans had borne Rajesh's travel and accommodation expenses for the Madurai trip.</p>

<p>In viral videos from Madurai, the doppelganger is seen sporting the actor look from the film 'Master', where he plays a college professor. From frying Vadas at a roadside eatery, to exiting his hotel lobby and also waving from the sunroof of a car, while campaigning for the VMI candidates, he did it all in Madurai, the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the insistence of fans, he also attempted to enact a scene from the film 'Master', where Vijay chases a moving bus and embarks into it.</p>

<p>Timid and only willing to answer in short sentences, Rajesh expressed that his main wish was to meet Vijay Annan (elder brother), hug him and click a picture with him, if possible.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"It’s his style, mass, dance and expressions that make me such a big fan. I've even been maintaining my physique by working out at home for almost an hour everyday" he says.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With the 'Master' look having taken him places, Rajesh is now awaiting the next Vijay release 'Beast', to try and get into the actor's new look.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A statement issued by the TVMI, mentions that all candidates who emerged victorious met Vijay and sought his wishes. It was also added that these functionaries would highlight the basic problems faced by the people and help find solutions for the same, with the support of the State and Central governments.&nbsp;</p>

Anand, General Secretary, TVMI told Zee Media that the actor checked all the certificates of the winning candidates and urged them to work for the people. Anil Kapoor writes an affectionate message for wife Sunita on their 35th anniversary

<p>For his continuous support in promoting the cause of children's rights, Anil Kapoor was felicitated by Council of European Chambers of Commerce in India and a European Union delegation in Mumbai.</p>

<p>The event also marked the celebration of EU Day 2019 on Friday.</p>

<p>Anil Kapoor, who has been working in collaboration with Plan India, a child rights organisation, was the guest of honour at the event.</p>

<p>Tomasz Kozlowski, EU Ambassador to India said, "Council of European Chambers of Commerce in India traditionally organises EU based celebrations. I am so happy that Anil Kapoor is with us today because he is so famous in promoting cultural ties between India and European countries."</p>

<p>Praising Anil Kapoor, the ambassador added, "Mr Kapoor is also known as a very devoted promoter of social values, women rights. We spent some time together in October last year, promoting girls'&nbsp;rights in an event organised by Plan India."</p>

<p>The actor has been supporting girls'&nbsp;and children's rights for which the actor got recognition from the EU delegation.</p>

<p>Presenting the citation to Kapoor, Tomasz said, "On the occasion of Europe Day 2019, Mr Anil Kapoor is a distinguished exponent in the art of acting and master of his craft."</p>

<p>"He has contributed immensely to the Indian and International film industry and through it connected and inspired many people of the world," he added.</p>

<p>Calling cinema a bridge connecting people, he said, "Cinema transcending across the borders is a strong bridge builder between the people of Europe and India. Numerous Indian films have been shot in Europe."</p>

<p>"Mr Kapoor has lent his support to various important social causes including girl child campaign by Plan India which was supported by EU," said Kozlowski.</p>

<p>"As an organisation, which has always been a strong advocate for the advancement of women empowerment, girl child rights, and equality, the EU would like to felicitate Mr Kapoor for his principled stand and relentless efforts in these areas," he added.</p>

<p>After receiving the citation, an overwhelmed Anil Kapoor expressed his gratitude and said, "It's been very educative, very emotional and one of the best evening of my career. I don't know if I deserve this honour but I want to thank you (Tomasz) for giving me this honour."</p>

<p>"And give my regards and best wishes to your wife because she loves Slumdog Millionaire," Kapoor jokingly replied Tomasz who earlier said that her wife really admires Anil's performance in Slumdog Millionaire.</p>

<p>The woman recently complained to police that Oberoi, who was in a relationship with her since 2016, allegedly raped her on the pretext of marrying her, he said.</p>

<p>He also shot some objectionable videos of the woman and demanded money from her while threatening to release the clips, the official said.</p>

<p>Looks like actor Chris Pratt and author Katherine Schwarzenegger are all set to take their relationship to the next level.</p>

<p>The duo, who <a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/guardians-of-the-galaxy-star-chris-pratt-is-now-engaged-to-girlfriend-katherine-schwarzenegger-190376">announced their engagement </a>two days ago, "already has some inklings about what they want their wedding to be like," a source told E! News.</p>

<p>According to the source, Katherine and Chris prefer a summer wedding and are looking for a suitable date.</p>

<p>"They are thinking about Martha's Vineyard which is a special place for Katherine and where she spent a lot of time growing up. Chris wants her to have her perfect day and whatever she wants. It will be a big wedding and very traditional," the source added.</p>

<p>The portal also revealed that an engagement party and bridal shower for Katherine is in the offing.</p>

<p>On Monday, the 'Jurassic World' &nbsp;actor shared the news of his engagement on Instagram with a picture of him giving Katherine a peck on her cheek.</p>
