
In a majorsuccess for security forces, two terrorists including Lashkar commander Junaid Mattoo have been killed in a joint operation by the Indian Army, SoG and CRPF in Kashmir's Kulgam district.

The jointoperation was carried out early on Friday morning after they received information that three terrorists were reportedly holed up in a building at Idgah Mohalla in Kulgam's Arwani village.
According to reports, a 22-year-old civilian was also killed during clashes between the security forces and the protesters.

The civilians clashed with security forces to help the terrorists escape from the area.
Junaid Mattoo was one of the most wanted terrorists operating in Kashmir.
The 20-year-old Lashkar commander was mentioned in the list of 12 most wanted terrorists released by the Indian Army in May.
The list also includes the names of Lashkar-e-Taiba's commander Abu Dujana and Hizbul Mujahideen's Zakir Musa.
